Okay, my one gripe other than no cape/tunic are the spats. Are they REALLY necessary? Couldn't they just give him some nice boots or something? I'm not saying he has to have wing-tips on, but just some boots or something...the spats really look ridiculous....maybe he needs a cane and monocle too so he'll look good for his afternoon cup of tea, LOL

As memories go, mine is pretty flawed, so I may not recall everything in perfect order. I'm pretty sure that when I first had exchanges with you, I didn't full-out attack you personally. It may well be the case that I witnessed more and more heated arguments being exchanged between you and people who hold views more similar to my own, and as my participation in one of your threads continued, people with less intelligence and tact than you attacked me personally. I may have gotten nastier during that progression. As for what happened in Wetgorilla's thread, I make no apologies. Not only had a swarm of plebeians and degenerates invaded and polluted that thread before I could even contribute something revelant, but you yourself came in with derisive declarations and petty comparisons to your own thread. I think you were out of line in that situation, but you certainly weren't the worst.

Since things have calmed down a bit in that thread, I see no reason to maintain a steadily intensifying trend of nastiness. At least until the next big catalyst comes along to spark a new outbreak of animosity.

I appreciate your sincerety and efforts to determine my position in all this. On the whole, I'm not trying to convince people that are ultimately dedicated to their opposing arguments. I'm expressing myself in an earnest fashion, and the most productive results of that could be people with similar opinions speaking up and contributing their take on it all and/or people who aren't dead set on one way of thinking or another asking questions and trying to learn more about the issues at hand. I'm not out to impress people who aren't predisposed to my way of thinking; my statements and arguments appeal to a select audience that I am happy to entertain or inspire if at all possible. As for the effect my presence has on those that outright disagree with me, I can only hope that my adversarial nature prompts others to work harder in their argumentation and analytical thinking. One can learn far more from conflict than they can through blind agreement and false niceties.

Scared the crap out of me. It was like... maybe it's me after all... maybe I'm finally officially insane. But it was just because mine was the last post in that thread once they wiped the filthy creature out and I hadn't refreshed the window yet.
