"Ill fated"....... they're embracing as well as advertizing his "ill-fated voyage" that causes his transformation as though it's the highlight of attributes of his villainy. It's Hollowman meets The Apprentice. I think we're stuck with oraganic metal Doom for a while folks.

Possible, but the existence of a cure in the movie, and that mention by the fx guys a while back that his power is his undoing (or his 'downfall', I can't remember for sure) does have me thinking they may well be having those powers stripped from him by the end.
I certainly hope so too, though Doom has sought out and acquired great powers in the comics (he successfully stole the Silver Surfer's and Beyonder's power for a time) that power was a means to an end within those stories and gone by the end of them, it was never what defines him or makes him such a dangerous threat to begin with.

I wondered this weakend......Does anyone think there'd be a chance in the movie that Reed Richards would come up with the cure only to have Doom hijack it and see to it he alone gets cured, and then only wears the mask afterward to hide the one scar that reminds him of his once mutated condition, the one scar that would remind him of himself? At least this way, he's being the kind of manipulative, self important ruler he could be, plus brilliant enough to keep Reed and the others from healing; furthermore making this whole metal mutation nonsense only one out of many obstacles for Victor Von Doom. . I'm sorry, but I'm just trying to work with what's been done already and I don't see any route to recourse here with what's been done. I need some of your guy's help on this!

That brings something up Franklin...... basically all of the Marvel Movies made so far have that corny cheesey comic humor and look sometimes!!! But I like it that way... Yeah Storm's line was beyond stupid and I hate Halle Berry! But with other corny stuff like all the lines in Punisher had that corny comic book Humor! It worked though, for me at least. Hulk used that weird editing! I mean all of these movies are made from Comics and share a lot of the comics! I like it that way, until it gets a little too dumb... But because it has that comic book feel it gives us more of a fantasy world that we can enjoy. Like Thing smashing Johnny's car and throwing it across the screen! Where else do we see that, it's awesome!

Thanks for reminding me with that image, Lockjaw. I have to get myself the new John Byrne FF Visionaries. It sure beats pulling stuff out of those storage bags.​

The cover is from one of his best storylines. Unbeknownst to the others, Reed has been whisked away to stand trial in an intergalactic court while the rest of the FF have to contend with the Cosmically empowered Terrax working in as an ally of Doom's (but not for long. ..heh...heh.)

I hope the confrontation we have seen between Sue and Victor in the teaser trailer is as well done as this....
