I Am Doom....discuss me [merged-2]

I agree. It would have been much better had they created the mask with eye holes slanted in a scornful manner. I guess the creators of this statue were trying to go for what a real person would look like in a rigid mask without any expressions let through. It wouldn't have passed a Latvarian QC at all!

It's the eyes themselves that need to change, although a slight angle for the eye slits might look better as well.

It's like a "Doom-Speedo" . . .

Not quite, but gettin' there. It's not as bad as the "Superman Returns" trunks, anyway.

:wolverine

should we really talk about how bad those are here?:p

Wow. I wouldn't have noticed either the green diaper or the scared look in Doom's eyes in the sculpture if it weren't for detectives such as yourselves......
and why hasn't anyone commented on my Starship Troopers observation damnit!? Is everyone too damn important to discuss it?

I saw it again, and it was just as enjoyable for me as the first time...... like an old girlfriend who looks Denise Richards or Dina Meyer...... even better than Wendy ;) with her red hair and all...
Actually, I'm aware of all the changes from the source material, but I have to say that I don't mind them too muich on this movie because it was done well the way I see it, plus I wasn't too keen on the original story itself. What do you think of Paul Veerhoeven as a director in general Herr?

Yes...well...I would still have my FIRST ONE had someone not decided to use it for irritating, perverted banter over on the official site....soooo ummmm what was your excuses for all of your changes again...?????;)

I don't know his other work. I never read the book, so I can't compare the movie to its source material.

I dislike Denise Richards. If I never see her in a movie again... that's... that's cool with me. :o

Paul Verhoeven's rap sheet goes as follows:
RoboCop
Starship Troopers
Basic Instinct
Total Recal
Hollowman....
,........ because Hollowman was a flop at the box office, he hasn't done much since then but is now doing a European one called Blackbook or "Zwarboek".... anyway, if you were to look at his resume, you see that he does one every long time interval and doesn't overwhelm himself with back to back projects. I kind of respect that.
As for your dislike of Denise Richards, I assume she either reminds you of someone, a horrible actress or it's that Michael Jackson nose of her's... if it's the latter, then I for one, find it unnacceptable for Jacko to have it, but her, in spite of the plastic probablity, find myself to be apathetic and can look past it. If it's her horrible acting, I liked the performance she made and the look on her face when she cut off the brain bug's proboscis/ needle/ brain straw...... thing....whatever, at the movie's climactic moment right before they captured it. So.......

The first time, I just wanted Orange9mm, so I asked for it. After the band's old producer who happens to be a friend of mine, asked me to stop using it on all my E-mail accounts and so forth, I told Dew and she said no prob.....

I saw the arm, 9mm. It looked great and P.V.'s work could have been used on this upcoming film. Perhaps this might be another potential strike against the production team.

Now that you've mentioned Hollowman - just like to tell you the script has the Doom/Susan/Reed relationship pretty much just like the Hollowman love triangle. Ripoff. Nevertheless, Stan Lee was on Fox News this afternoon. He was a guest speaker and did a little plug-in for the upcoming FF movie.

Yeah, that was the weirdest thing! I flipped to the news and they say "... the big question is; Will Operation Matador break the back of the Iraq terrorists? Stan Lee is here to discuss this with us..." TRIPLE TAKE on the TV! My neck still hurts!
After the political discussion (and I LOVED Stan's zing about how amazing it is how "some people" can turn ANY question around to disparage someone else's political beliefs) the Superhero stuff was just... uncomfortable.

Personally, since I'm such a Vehoeven fan, I see his name mentioned back to back with anyone's name here on this movie as a strike against the production company. Heh.
Even Starship Troopers has a love triangle, but at least Paul and Co. knew how to do it right. This movie on the other hand, shouldn't have had the triangle in the picture in the first place; so it's more of the screen writer's fault than anything, so taking such a factor out of the picture, would at least give props over to the yay-sayers. ;) Either way, it sounds like you yourself are a fellow Paul fan WG...

Good find.

I like this picture very much, albeit I'll always prefer Doom's classic flaring tunic.

^Doom looks little he had a little too much All Bran with his morning muffins.

The castle chef will pay for this...

...so swears Doom.
