I know. And why did Dew close down the Off-Topic thread? Shouldn't she have noticed that C.Lee posted NINE TIMES and didn't complain?

JMAfan said:And by the way those "other threads" actually allow "all" to participate with out being called "stupid" and "sheep".....which to me is a good thing...to some i guess not...

surfergirl said:because the discussion of Doom in this thread warranted it a place at the top of the board with the rest of the character threads IMO

at the end of my earlier post. i hope that clears it up for you.wetgorilla said:Who has called others 'stupid' or 'sheep' on this thread? I believe you might be painting with too broad of a brush stroke. From my recollection, H.L. was the only person who has ever used the term 'sheep' and he used it as a metaphor for individuals who were parroting rather than debating and had spat out equally generalized terms.
On the other hand, your claim that those 'other threads' actually allow 'all' to participate is only half true. If someone posts a viewpoint opposite to the opinions held by the consensus of the individuals who buzz around those threads, they're met with a strong rebute. Then, if an individual engages in debate, they're labeled a 'troll'. So, please - don't try to raise those 'other threads' to any higher level than any other thread on the forum.
I can see this and others can also. But then again, many people aren't aware of their own misbehavings when its met with approval from their own particular circle.

Well i guess that is something we will never agree on....and this has been discussed before....so i'll move on w/ an we disagree thats ok.....and allow this thread to get back to doom....

hunter rider said:Actually those character threads run fine,Everyone is welcome, whether they like the actors or not.The only thing that gets people annoyed is when someone comes in posting things like "alba T3H sux" or suggests another actress for the role which is stupid since the movie is now completed. As for you not calling people sheep ? perhaps not but you have an entire thread devoted to you throwing degrading insults.

wetgorilla said:You and your comments speak for themselves, Hunter. When have suggestions on this forum warrant an individual being called stupid? Oh, I forgot! When Hunter Rider deems it so. It's pretty clear you're one of those individuals I was thinking of when I responded to Albafan.
As for the thread I started a long time ago (and you came in and attacked people not perspectives) that was devoted for gripes against the movie not throwing insults at you or anyone one else. The only one who's ever thrown insults at people for having opinions opposite their own concerning this movie have been yourself and a small band of your buddies, Junior. Your posting here once again underscores my point.

I could definitely see that in a sequel...talking like that as an exec...hmmm not sure....and YES I understand that being an exec...is certainly not what many of you wanted for Doom....but I could definitely see him coming back full on with kind of dialogue IM....definitelyIron Maiden said:I agree....I think given the right material to work with, people who disparaged Julian McMahon's casting may change their tune. I like that he has dialed it down a bit to be quiet, controlled and menacing.... not an over the top ranting loony. The only concern I have is whether or not his lines are up to Doom's usual standard. As I have said before, I find it ironic that a movie has to be "dumbed down" for the movie going audience whereas in the comics, Doom has much more complex dialogue (to wit my signature below as an example).

hunter rider said:LOL so you didnt make all those dispariging remarks about Lightnin, you didnt treat Kel like something you stepped in.Be aware of one thing here bigshot,We all know what you are about, your very clever and yet as transparent as a dish of water.I tell you what PM C Lee or Dew and put my record of attacking people on this forum up against yours and see who has the better reputation as a good and respectful poster. As for my comments in your thread,If you read what i said to you in it,i merely asked why you were so unpleasent about the other side of the coin in your opening volley,My only "attack" on you was to say you were stuck in the 60's,now go read what you said to Lightnin and kel in that thread and then get back to me
Excellent point. I think Julian's appearance and acting would make for a good Doom. It's the dialog given to him that may 'Doom' his portrayal!
