Also, its one thing for the director to rewrite/alter dialogue on set when its not working, or deleting scenes in post when its not working. It's something else entirely to have the writer on set everyday (when writers are often NEVER on set)x and having him rewrite scenes everyday.

That's just not something a production, producer, director, etc. does if the script/film is in good shape.

Patently untrue.

It varies, of course. Some directors don't like to change things up once a script is "locked", but some do like the creative process to be more organic, and its not uncommon, even in Hollywood, to have writers on set touching up character moments, jokes, action beats, etc, even on a daily basis.

Or he's just wearing the helmet everyone else wheres to the Negative Zone..... and it indeed looks like it is.

Odds are its melted to his head (like his suit is melted to his body), and he replaces the helmet with this film's version of the Doom mask.

I'm not sure. The leaked Doom look is the same costume that he wears when strapped to the hospital bed. He's attacking the guards in the hallway when it looks like he's breaking out. My guess is that we see the FF in containment suits head back into the Negative Zone to search for Doom which is where the leaked still was. They defeat him while he's in an organic metal form and he's paralyzed until he upgrades, the FF search for him (the scene where the Human Torch and Kata Mara are in the hallway and where Human Torch finds the dead guards) and then don unseen costumes with the 4 logo and Thing gets the shorts from his concept art.

Also, the white suits are the FF + Doom. The blue suits are probably other people. I doubt that we'll have three or four trips from the same people into the Negative Zone since that would just get redundant.

The Thing wouldn't fit into a astronaut suit so I don't think the white suit is the FF. That must be Doom and some other people after the black suit attempt.

Since the FF fail to reach the Negative Zone (i.e. the accident) there would only be one attempt that successfully makes it to the Negative Zone. And that's Doom's attempt.

You may be right. That doesn't explain hobo Doom in front of a green screen nor hobo Doom strapped to a hospital bed.

If the FF go into the Negative Zone to search for Doom, find him changed and proceed to beat the living crud out of him and bring him back to the Baxter Building, then when do the FF appear in the blue suits? And who is the sixth person in a blue suit? Franklin Storm is presumably one of them but I'm drawing blanks on the sixth member. I don't think it's Harvey Elder since he's more likely a cameo/Easter Egg who'll be saved for a sequel. Maybe his name is Redd Shirt?

And the FF head into the Negative Zone a second time. This is pre-costumes since they're in the containment suits and Ben looks like he just transformed and didn't have time to put anything on + Sue is cradling Johnny. This is presumably in the second or early third act. This might be where they go back and find Doom, defeat him, and then he's strapped to the bed. Then Doom escapes and we see the more high tech version of him from the back of his head. The FF find that he's escaped and blown up a good chuck of the Baxter staff and then the FF don costumes and fight Doom for whatever reason.

If Doom escapes from Baxter because the military wants to use him as a weapon, then why are the FF opposing him when they would presumably be on the same side? I don't think we can make sense of this until we know Doom's agenda first. We don't know what he wants, nor do we know where the Doombots fit into this. The Romania scenes are presumably for the stinger since they're all reshoots so Latveria probably won't be part of the film proper.

Wasn't one of the writer's strike issues about being on set?

I think the shot of Reed with glasses in the black suit is the attempt that turns the team into the FF. The two other people are either future villains or "red shirts" to show how dangerous this end up being.

I don't think Doom is in Reed's team. That's part of why he's jealous. He's a loner/anti-social so I doubt he'd follow Reed. Doom would lead his own attempt.

After Reed fails, Doom wants to go(knowing full well why it failed and should have worked) and the military won't let him so Doom leads his own team of three. The white suit version looks dirtier.

The FF probably go after him in the Fantasticar(echo the shot of Reed and Ben as kids in the trailer) since the Negative zone won't affect them now that they've been exposed.

Doom tied to the bed is after the FF have gotten him from the Negative and he tells Reed what he saw. The FF leave then Doom escapes to Latveria.

If they're future villains, wouldn't they be part of Doom's team? And Doom is the only member of his team in the infirmary. The other three guys are probably red shirts. I mean, they could be Mad Thinker, Trapster and Wizard but why waste them by killing them off before they can even turn evil?

I feel like Doom heads in first, sabotages the experiment for the second team. The FF survive the experiment, develop suits to contain their powers, then head back in to search for Doom who is now the lone survivor of his team, has gone full Hobo Doom and is defeated. Doom escapes and detonates an EMP weapon over Manhattan. I have no idea what happens next but I don't think Latveria will be shown until after the credits. Doom will probably be fought in New York.

It's all conjecture at this point.

I can't see Doom's arc if he is the first one into the Negative Zone.

Assuming the first act ends with the explosion. Doom would have to spend the entire second act watching the FF gain these great powers and struggle with it. Doom is all about power and thinking he should have gained something from the the Negative Zone instead of these idiots.

Him going into the N-Zone is probably what causes the plane to get caught in that blue pillar of light.

I don't think Doom is leading a separate attempt from Reed because in the shot of Doom in the negative zone it looks like Reed is there with him. It looks like Teller is the guy behind him.

Although I really don't think we can say for certain what the sequence of these trips are, I'm leaning more and more towards the White Suits as an earlier attempt, which may or may not be the point where they get their powers. And that the Black Suits are a later attempt where the military gets involved and a fancier setup is built. In the shot of the military people in a conference room, I think the schematics look more like the fancier setup, and given how many military people are crowded into that room and how somber they look, it gives me the impression that they've discovered that the N-Zone experiment was a success.

From watching the latest AoU trailer, it's sad that Ultron is probably going to provide a better Doom performance the the actual Doom.

Agreed, I have a feeling that Ultron may become the no. 1 MCU villain. Doom seems even more underwhelming than the Story films.

Great actors giving a great performance can elevate the lines they are given. I havent seen 50 shades of grey yet. While most critics pan the movie Dakota Johnson performance has been praised. In this very franchise Chris Evans made the best out of **** lines he was given.

Raul Julia's Bison in the highlight of Street Fighter. Street Fighter is still a terrible film, and he's still a terrible Bison.

I doubt it Toby is an amazing actor.

He is an antisocial blogger who calls himself Doom on the Internet.
At what point do you stop defending this film? If he was wearing bright pink overalls would you still be defending it then?

I thought the best thing about about Street Fighter was Ming Na Wen as Chun Lee but to each its own.

Schrodinger'cat you ever heard of it? Anyway point is till we actually see the movie its not the disaster you assume it is or the good film I hope it is. So to answer your question I'll be optimistic till the film comes out.

Though I understand the antipathy towards this film from what we have seen and heard, there are a few things that we really, truly have no idea how far, and deep they go.

This is one of them, it very well could be that we see this part of Doom for just a moment at the beginning of the movie before we move into the full storyline...I mean, if we are going to say that it looks like we may see something of Latveria in the end as a glimpse into the future, then how can we see this description of Doomashev any further than a description of him as he begins the journey. I just think that some are placing this as his full and only personality trait...mind you, I certainly don't see a lot of Doom as he is known in either 616 or Ultimate, but I don't think we have enough info to think that an antisocial blogger is "all" that he is in this movie.

It seems that some in the negative end of the spectrum are grasping for "every single little bit of negative they can find", just as those at the positive end are grasping at "every single little bit of positive they can find".

Until we seriously see more of this, it is really tough to move much further one way or the other than what we have said from the very first day. So, it seems like a lot of "tit for tat" and that can get pretty boring.

One merely has to google 'great actors in horrible films' to render this post completely meaningless.

I adjusted that when I said, "great actor, giving a great performance can make you believe any line". So there you go, Google that and see what you come up with.

I was referring to what you said, not what you decided to change after the fact. So no, I don't need to google any further.
