Yeah that's not a mask. That's his face. There are no eyeholes separate from what would be the underpart where his face is.

Nor is it "Dr. Doom"

It's Mr. Domashev.

If the accident did to him what it did to the Thing he may not even be a "Mister" anymore... :o

True, but remember how the Batman movie underpaints the eye to look like the mask goes up to his eyes? But we clearly know the mask doesn't.

I'm getting an Amazing Spider-Man "Electro" vibe from him.

I just don't get the reasoning. To me a badass mask like Darth Vader's is way cooler than metallic glowy skin.

Dr. Domashev. He didn't spend six years in evil medical school to be called "Mister", thank you very much. :o

"What's coming?"

"Frikkin shark with frikkin laser beams attached to their frikkin heads!"

If the accident did to him what it did to the Thing he may not even be a "Mister" anymore... :o

Just like Thing's is made of rock and retractable, Domashev's will be made of electricity and he'll be able to use it like a laser beam!

Which has nothing to do with in-movie continuity. Since it's the real world solution to making Batman's mask look like it's skin tight. In-movie it's not meant to be make-up painted on his face.

The "mask" portion on Domashev is now his face. Just like, from the teaser shot of him strapped to the bed, you can clearly see the suit they wear is fused to his body.

I'm getting an Amazing Spider-Man "Electro" vibe from him.

Yep. And the version of Electro just before he shed his burnt skin cocoon.

Tim Story's Doom is going to look like he was ripped from the FF comic book itself compared to this travesty.

If that's his face then how does his mouth move though?

There's been nothing rumored about him getting metal skin again.

The suit just looks like it's in tatters. Not fused. Otherwise the helmet would have fused to his head.

We'll see.

I actually had designed a version of Brainiac with that idea. Little circuits running across his skin kind of like continually forming new nerves.

I'd have preferred him to be scarred. If the rumors are true

about him being teapped in the Negtive Zone for 10 years, it would be easy to explain the mask.

But it's not a deal breaker for me. It still looks intimidating. I just want to see what sort of powers they plan on giving him.

I doubt they cared that much if they went with what they did to Do(mashev)om,

There's been nothing rumored about him getting metal skin again.

...so the hell what?

We'll see.

Eyelashes are coming out of the metal. It's metal skin.

Speaking of the helmet fusing to his head, take a look at this close up of the air masks.

Not look at that shot of Domashev's mouth.

Look familiar?

The suit/helmet fused to his body. That's clear enough from the teaser shot of him strapped to the table looking EXACTLY like the leaked green screen photos, and it looking like one whole piece and not like a suit with many pieces.

That's the Domashev you're getting.

It still looks intimidating.

Maybe if you're afraid of hobos with a bad skin condition.

I just want to see what sort of powers they plan on giving him.

Electrotelepathy or whatever. Since the shot of him walking down the movie's main set piece(a hallway) shows him blowing lightbulbs up and taking out military guys with it.

If the rumors are true the mask, metallic armor could be make shift remnants from that first mission. He's suppose to be some kind of technopath so he could of made it to protect himself from the harshness of that world. This sure looks like this is as likely as fused metal skin.

This is an amazing idea for the look of doom....only if you understand the influence behind it like i did after seeing this trailer.

The new trailer didn't instill any new hope for me. Looks to be going the direction I pretty much expected. The brief glimpse of Domashev the Hackzor elicited no reaction from me. I hope my low expectations for this thing are beyond exceeded but can't say it is looking good.

So if I'm reading things right, the most iconic villain in the Marvel universe is now a mere internet troll. Or, "anti social blogger "officially.

I can hardly wait.

From the mouth of the actor himself.

And he wants people to call him his internet username.

The badass character this version seems to be influenced by
shodan_by_meadowgrove-d4hudbc.png

it works great here because their powers are similar.

You know what would have been more badass? If he was based on DR. DOOM.

They are very similar...

Who? This character in this movie?

Victor Domashev, anti-social computer programmer and blogger with electro powers.

Dr. Victor Von Doom, megalomaniacal sorcerer/genius/dictator of his own Eastern European country encased on state of the art armored exo-suit.

Not a single thing at all similar.
