I mean he is popular like oh Quinten Terintino ( i can't spell his name to save my life) , not particularly very good if you watch a lot of movies just a household name that people who are casual movie goers say oo I like him that means I have a good taste in movies. Nolan is by far a superior director and personally one of my favorite.

QT has actually can write his pants off. Pulp Fiction makes him a legend and JB and KB earn him honors.

Nolan though is a different breed here and his take on the Joker could just so us that.

I was just thinking, and what if someone tried to drown the Joker in Chemicals you know like grab his hair and slam his head in a vat of Skin-bleaching, hair-dying chemicals... that'd make sense eh?

Or tosses it on his face and leaving him for dead? Only effecting his hands and face. Thus the gloves.

QT is a fantastic writer well his old stuff but he is a kind of hit or miss director Imo. JB was great, KB eh. I just mean M night is a household name like qt

would maybe explain the heavy breathing too?

yeah... maybe, but that would seem a bit Two-face esque...

i was thinking, that before Mr. J was mister j, he worked for gangsters, but then he wised up and tried to two-time them, then they try to kill him, by drowning him (in a vat of chemicals).

wouldn't it be a cool shot, of ledgers face, the camera under the chemical.

Show Ledger struggling, then have his eyes widen, and show his skin reacting, and his eyes changing color, then he smiles, and Throws the guy off of him, and kills his would be murderer.

Just looked at the picture again...

Noticed that if you look at the black circles around the eyes, you can clearly see they are makeup too.

And the roots and ends of the hair is dark brown, which means he dyes his hair as well.

Perhaps a parallel between the two characters in the film together?

We can beat ourselves up for a little less than a year over skintone, but nobody really knows with nolan, Heath ledger could be a fake joker and the real joker is actually a green haired, white faced, cut smiled robert deniro in an uncredited surprise cameo.

Guy Pierce returns!

If The Joker remains like this, then I'm not overly worried about him applying white make-up. What worries me is the propspect of him being locked up in Arkham, with his make-up removed...:csad:

I realy think that if they could get round the idea of "skin bleaching", they'd have gone the whole hog and bleached his whole body. The fact that its only his face would suggest face-paint.

Don't even think about that.

I did.

And :csad: .

i'm still hoping the rumor of him only pretending to be wearing make-up is true. Having him apply skin-colored make-up to his neck would acceptable, i guess.

Yeah that kinda sucks, but so far I'm still pretty happy with what I've seen and heard. I suppose we should have been prepared with changes seeing as what Nolan has done thus far.

could it be permanent makeup?

roman sionis owns a makeup company. :P

Never thought of that...good point

maybe the new pic is him b4 the accident and that particular make-up he was wearing became perminant after falling in the chemicals. just a guess. i really dnt think thats him after the accident, weve seen that pic already and the two are obviously different. just a guess people

That is the one reason why I am sure there is more to this then meets the eye.

Do we know if Joker is going to get locked up? Did Goyer say it? Can't remember. I suppose it's inevitable anyway

I can only hope pre-Joker is a thug who robs people and wears white face paint and green hair as a disguise. The cops are after him one day and he goes down into the chemical factory and falls into the vat and ironically his face is chalk white and hair green permanently.

Although that could be a bit too much irony.
