Hm. I see. It sounded like you were being sarcastic. If we're on the same side, then I take it back.I was agreeing with Nivek who said we should stick to the source material. Didn't you get the memo?
After it followed the "I don't see how.." sentence. You said it would be ridiculous by any means.
Where has all this Joker Venom talk come from? It seems to be in every Joker thread!
We've been pretty sure for some time now it won't figure in the movie now, and nobody has seemed to be all that bothered about it, now all of a sudden for some it's the be-all-and-end-all of the character?
I like the laughing gas as much as the next guy, but Smylex was already used in "Batman". Plus, the evil plot of "Begins" centred around gas. It'd come across as repetitive.
Come on, guys. The Joker is a mass murdering psycho clown with no empathy. He wouldn't think twice about carving a smile on his victims and covering it up with red lipstick. This isn't your daddy's Joker. Nolan is taking it 22 THA EXXXXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111119
Wow. I ****ing fail. I didn't see that at all.Hm. I see. It sounded like you were being sarcastic. If we're on the same side, then I take it back.

Perhaps the venom has taken on a greater significance as each and every other pillar of the character's nature and origins has fallen?
I've seen one pillar fall. The permawhite skin pillar. Every other pillar of the character's nature seems to be standing tall and erect. The "Joker is supposed to be classy" pillar has gone a bit flaccid, but I think The Joker being "classy" is debatable to begin with. Okay, this pillar talk is getting phallic now...
Why do I feel so dirty after reading this post?
Well actually, some of Joker's actions are pretty barbaric. He's certainly not someone that does everything in a clean and precise way. But, but this isn't something a dandy like the Joker would do. Its so classless to carve a smile on a victim's face. He would have the patience and self-control to develop a venom and use that instead. Carving a smile is so barbaric; something a psychopath would never do. DAMN YOU NOLAN!!!

But I think he would make an exception for "marking" his victims, as that would seem like a "painting a masterpiece" each time. So in that case, he'd take care and precision.

Because no matter how much you prepare for that type of thing, you still end up with a gruesome product. But I guess that would fit this dirty/grungy version of Joker. And he couldn't use care and precision to carve a smile in his victim? If he's "painting a masterpiece", surely a few brushstrokes wouldn't go amiss...
Chelsea grins are ******ed. Joker venom all the way, respect the source material. The Joker is not Freddy or the Carver.

I still think an injection that renders a smile is the best approach. As pointed out before, it's completely within reason.
Well, he's always been rather dandy. The only time I've ever seen him looking dishevelled was in Arkham Asylum, but that whole graphic novel was really just the whole Batman world through Grant Morrision's Pervert-o-Vision.I've seen one pillar fall. Guess that would depend on what mood he's in.Yeah but would the Joker use an alcohol swipe beforehand and tap the needle to insure all air is expelled before administering the shot?
Considering this Joker is a walking mess, I doubt caring and precision are his top priorities.
You mean he wants to give them herpes?Joker of the comics doesn't apply face paint nor have long scraggly half brown hair, either. I'm not the biggest supporter but the filmmakers are going their own way but still keeping to the basics. I'm sure Hobo Joker will still be respectful to the source material(certainly the early comics). At this point, it appears as if giving Glasgow grins would fit this Joker even more. Maybe he wants the victims to suffer the same pain as he did.
I'm most certain he was being sarcastic and still is. . .

So, with this grungy Joker, I think it's safe to say that pillar has fallen.
