Yes, Niki's storyline sucked. I might be in the minority, but I've always liked Niki.

Niki was always one of if the most interesting character on paper but even the strength of the concept can't beat bad character development. What a waste.

It all depends on how they handle season 3. I like to think that they have learned from the mistakes they made in season 2 and that season 3 will be better overall. Not just for that character. Seriously though

Jessica returning is freaking awesome. Maybe she'll team up with Adam considering Adam used to be a Sanders so there might be a connection there.

Season 1 spent so much time bringing many of the characters together (Hiro, Claire, Peter, etc.) only for Season 2 to spread them back out once again. Hell, Hiro was in another time for a good chunk of the year and Peter had good 'ol amnesia.

And Bob is a terrible villain/head of The Company.

I actually liked Bob as the leader of the Company, but Kring couldn't let the character ever reveal anything. That's what irked me about him as a character - and if he ever did reveal anything shocking, it'd be half of it, and the other half was a set up for something far bigger.

It was 3 act story that was missing act two.

There was some sort of convention interview that he did a little while ago, and he let slip some semi spoilers which were interesting.

But he also said that NBC actually reads every letter sent to him, or on message boards so if anyone wants him back, it's the way to go, or well one of the ways to go.

There's a lot of character potential with him, and they haven't even begun to tap into his psyche that he has with flying, ie he should fly hell of a lot more.

I'm quite enjoying Season 2 so far, here in the UK, where we are up to chapter three. I have seen chapter four, as the next one is shown afterwards on another related channel (BBC3) and i watched it last week.

I can't see what all the moaning was about in the USA for Season 2, it's not THAT bad, there is some nice suspense and gradual intertwining of storylines.

Annoyingly the US is far ahead so there is a continental divide with who's seen what shows and what characters. I hate that, i wish we all saw it at the same time! (Don't even get me started on Smallville, as we haven't even had season 7 in the UK yet!).

Season 2 was trying to repeat Season 1's foreshadowing of armaggeddon, but it failed by weak storytelling and characterization. The twin's journey took too long, ended on a whimper, and took valuable screens away from favorites like Nathan. Hiro's time in Japan was also needlessly long, Adam's story too unsatisfactory, and the whole Nikki/Jessica thing played out badly. Except for Kristen Bell, I don't think I really like Season 2 as a whole.

I think that with all these characters with apocalyptic powers running around, along with the fact that pretty much any dead person can be resurrected, the show went from barely plausible to completely implausible.

The flashback episode more or less killed it for me. I didn't really hate the season until then. But as soon as DL survived being shot only to be shot again (this time for no reason) and the fact that Peter can survive blowing up I started just laughing at the terrible writing. And HRG should have died, the whole Claire's blood can heal other people is like the dragon balls in dragon ball Z. It basically makes it so that when a character actually dies, like Nathan, it is sort of BS.

Elle as others have said though was awesome. And Parkman being able to tell others what to do with his powers really opens up doors for him, it's a shame he'll probably be saddle with being Molly's surrogate dad for a long time.

Why wouldn't Peter survive blowing up? That ability allows him to make nuclear explosions, what kind of ability would it be if it killed you when you use it? Maya 's ability doesn't kill her either. I agree with the rest of what you said though.

I thought the reason Peter survived was because of his regenerative ability.

That's what I thought too. Ted was never in danger of blowing up becuase he could control the power better than Peter. Pete's problem was that combined with all the other abilities he had collected, it was too much power for him to handle and he would have blown up, and died had it not been for his ability to heal.

Well I guess if he explodes outward then it doesn't matter. But if he explodes from the inside then that means that he can regenerate at the molecular level. Not to mention he was also fully clothed.

The whole thing just needed to be better explained at least. It really wasn't clear what was happening.

He told Nathan to let go because he himself would be fine. He just needed to let all that built up power out. So i figure the explosion didn't hurt him.
