I Know You'll Have The Dack Stecked Against The Wrestling Thread

The only match on the Mania card I'd even consider using my time on is the Divas tag, it's good that the 4 women are getting actual time to talk and build their feud from the clips I saw, and the AJ vs Nikki match from Raw was good, shame Paige and Brie got less time on SD, but overall it's the only thing WWE are doing right now that is worth a damn.

I've read some horrible news coming from the Mexican wrestling company that Rey Mysterio Jr. is now employed in. Wrestling is a dangerous occupation and nothing drives this home more than this article:

Unlike Owen Hart's death where Vince McMahon should not have put him up to such a dangerous stunt that is only something a professional stuntman should do this was a horrible, unintentional accident. If Rey Mysterio is charged with manslaughter then guys like Vince McMahon should face legal indictment as well for his purposefully dangerous practices past and present.

The Rock is hosting SNL next weekend, any interest?

I can't see Rey having any liability for this. It's clearly an accident where someone just happened to land on their trachea. It's a dangerous sport , but really no sport is completely safe. These guys know they could be paralyzed with one false move and know what they are getting themselves into. It's tragic , but not something that should start a major investigation.

Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley had a very solid main event on Impact last night and the show as a whole was good.
I'm definitely checking out the Lashley/Angle match.
The Dog Man God speaks the truth.
Seriously, everything about that match was excellent.

Some of the clickbait titles I've been seeing are disgusting.

EDIT:
WM related, but it seems that the Masters of the WWE Universe are going to be on the pre-show to defend the titles. At least it will mean they can get a lot of time.

Rock's SNL episodes are always great. And he hasn't hosted in 6 years? It's a must see SNL when SNL honestly is anything but. It's almost like if Baldwin or Walken host. Must see, regardless.

The problem with him hosting this time around is that he cannot play "The Rock Obama" anymore.

Man, if only Fred Armisen could come back to cameo. Or they could get Pete Davidson to do it, though he is way too young to even try.

Davidson as Obama......that's going to make some people very upset like they were when Armisen was Obama.

I never saw the problem with Armisen. He was the only guy on the cast who could do a great impression of him. Besides, Obama is a white dude, too. It's not even racist. And Armisen is a mixed dude.

Ya'll know Jay Pharaoh is still on the show, and does a good Obama impression, right?

Oh yeah, I forgot. His impression is even better than Armisen. Armisen just looks more like Obama.

HHH loved the "Wrestling Isn't Wrestling" short based on his twitter...which is good considering how much it puts him over.

That's true. As entertaining as it is for smarks and as fun as it is seeing Haitch put on blast, the backstage politics are shown in a positive light. It really does put him over.

yet reports are saying the higher ups have hated it and have banned people from backstage talking about it

I want to see Triple H tell Sting he will fight him on the moon.

Landis said it's not that they hated it, they didn't want talent tweeting about it so they don't direct younger fans to something with cursing. He was told directly from someone in the company it was well received.

So most people are saying Impact was good this week, which I agree with. However, I'm I the only one who thought the Ultimate X match was just kind of there? I feel like the show didn't start getting good until after that.

Ultimate X has been kinda there for the past 6-7 years or so.

Is that Terry Funk doing what Terry Funk do best?

I want Ivan Drago to kick Rocky's ass so bad at WM it hurts. It's gonna suck when Rusev loses.
