http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/17902Bloody Disgusting learned exclusively that production officially begins this Monday on I Spit on Your Grave, a remake of Meir Zarchi's classic 1978 film Day of the Woman. We also learned that Steven R. Monroe (Left in Darkness) will be getting behind the camera for the remake that will star Andrew Howard, best known among genre fans for his roles in Adam Mason's The Devil's Chair, Luster and Blood River. In the original, a woman is abducted, brutally attacked and raped and then left for dead. She survives, hunts her attackers and dispatches them in graphic ways.
Rape is a great tool for a revenge film...but it must be used correctly. It cannot border super tastlessness.
You should feel the pain, but not feel like "Ooookay, we get the idea...". Then it fails,.
Which of the two movies do you people here like. The original Last House on The Left or The Original version of this.
I've only seen the Original Version of Last House, aswell as the remake.
What about the remake of Last House.I think I like I Spit on Your Grave a bit better than Last House on the Left. Funny comparison considering their is male dismemberment in both.![]()
What about the remake of Last House.
I thought the original last house was a bit goofy, even know it had all those violent scenes. Just the kitchen scene in the remake felt more brutal and I guess you could say the same for the rape scene.
I meant about the cop part.Yes a woman being raped & stabbed about 50 times is the absolute height of goofy.![]()
That's why I'm glad in the sequel they didn't do that and made it far more serious in tone.Ohhhh, yeah ok your right about that. They really took me out of the film as well.

I didn't bother with it. One of these days I might add it to my Netflix que.
Quick question about the remake.Does the mom in the remake bite off the guys member like in the original when she's um...performing on him?
Knowing how tight-lipped the producers of I Spit On Your Grave have been, I'm sure they're just thrilled (insert sarcasm) to know that the trailer for their remake leaked out from the Texas Frightmare Weekend which just wrapped. I guess the TFW crew doesn't have ComicCon-like security prowling the audiences for trailer pirates! The video is admittedly pretty raw and literally shot from the crowd, but you get the idea of what's to come. If you missed our teaser poster debut for Spit, you can check it out right here with more details on the film.
Never seen it. Was it straight to dvd? Was it worth watching?
I had the same reaction. The only thing i didn't like about the film was her. It was almost like she was going tosomehow surviving a month in the woodsI do like how they didn't go the route of the original with her doing sex acts on her attackers.come back as a ghost or in the mind of the slow kid.
