This is a REAL review of a 6th season episode of Smallville from some site I stumbled on. If this was someone reviewing the pilot, it might have slide past. But this was posted DAYS ago!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...bald headed evil guy, young kid with SUPER powers...what else does this remind you of?

OK, the truth of the matter is this, Smallville is not such a bad or horrible show, it's just unoriginal. To what it imitates, it can't compare. (For those you haven't yet guessed that I'm refering to Superman...that's what it is)
Seriously, could they have been more generic?
bald headed evil guy = Lex Luther
young kid with super powers = Superman
It's not that hard to put two and two together. If it was suppose to be Superman then that would be okay, although that would also get it's share of critizism, but having a copy is just annoying. I honestly tried to watch the show but everytime it came on I was reminded of Superman and couldn't help comparing, and being dissapointed with the show.
Again, not a bad show just to Superman.

Seriously, the fact that the kid's name is CLARK KENT and he is pallling around with LOIS LANE doesn't give you the hint that this may JUST be a show about SUPERMAN?

It reminds me of when I was in still in the Army of few years ago. Superman TAS had just come out on DVD and I was watching it in the barracks. A couple of soldiers sat down to watch it with me. THe show started and when baby Kal-El landed in a field the sign for the city read "Smallville". A couple of people said "Heh, that's just like that TV show." I said something like "yeah, and?" I'll never forget one chick said "This cartoon is copying that TV show" I was literally ROTFL.
