Was I exaggerating? Perhaps. But I find that the push for a darker outfit belies a broader push for a darker character.

You really did not comprehend me did you? I said the look of the outfit without the cape it that was good. That's it. I wasn't endorsing a darker outfit or a darker character. I was using an example of a situation without the cape and saying I liked the overall look better.

What's funny is you make these wild logic jumps because you don't actually read what's written then you try and generalize and assume. This is generally why I stay away from the DC boards, with the Marvel boards you only have to deal with stupidity, which is funny, but here you get selectively hearing fellas like yourself which is honestly worse and not funny at all.

Fajitas are Mexican.

Tex-Mex actually. And they were apparently every major sit down Tex-Mex chain claims to have invented them. I find On the Boarders claim ludicrous, because they don't even know how to make fajitas, you have to request bell peppers other wise they make it with just onion.

Well, the phrase "darker look" implied, clearly only to me, the same thing implied by Batman's "darker look" compared to the Silver Age, which is good for Batman, not good for Superman, not really good for most characters. Clearly I inferred too much.

Actually, I did read what was written. What I did was called an interpretation, because not everybody's brain works the same way, slick.

An interesting microcosm of why so many people buy Marvel instead of DC: Marvel's just stupid and laughable. But over at DC you have to deal with thinking, and stuff. Ah, what a world. You're so put-upon, MD. The Holocaust victims ain't got **** on you.

Wow, you can't even concede that I know what I was saying better than you. Yes you inferred too much, I kept telling you you inferred too much, but you keep going.

Your brain is clearly on a different level, you've seen what's written, disregard what the author explains after you misinterpret what was said, with no regard to posts before, then jump to your very own special conclusion which is presumptious, stupid and makes little sense. That's actually really impressive.

No, the fact here is that both publishers have some pretty good and pretty terrible stuff and only stuck up snobs with no taste only like one company. The microcosm I was referring to was the idiots you have to deal with on the marvel boards vs. the idiots you deal with here. On the marvel boards people just have stupid arguments, over here you have arguments which have nothing to do with what the other person said. It's like your own make believe world where you pretend the other person said something completely different and respond to that. See end of the day you're just as much an idiot as that guy that just thinks the hulk punching is the universes most unstoppable force.

Actually, no, I don't. I've conceded that I clearly inferred too much. What do I have to do to explain that my interpretation was apparently not correct?

I like to think so.

Well that's not actually what I'm doing at all. I clearly misinterpreted what you said, and perhaps I was on a bit of hair-trigger because I see this "nerrr, darker is better yay postmodernism nerrr yay Garth Ennis" bull**** everywhere in comic fandom, but I don't think that makes me presumptous, stupid, and nonsensical. I think I just made a mistake, and have freely acknowledged that.

Or you'd just have to have a different opinion than you, MD. But no, I've actually always been something of a Cap fan, and am getting back into him now that he's dead (you never know what you have until they take it from you), and have recently become mildly obsessed with the X-Men after buying X-Men 200 on a whim. Also a longtime Ghost Rider guy. But in general, I find Marvel to be supremely ass-blowing, while DC is generally pretty good.

I agree.

Marvel has some pretty cool characters (not very interesting, but cool), but their stories usually blow hard.

If DC would reboot it's universe from scratch again, how would you do of each the big seven?

I'd take a mixture of Q's ideas for Aquaman but use PAD's revision from the 90s as far as origin goes. Oh, and I'd have Alan Davis draw Aquaman for life.

First off a quick thanks: It's fun to start off my morning explaining what a jack@ss you are, it gives me a added purpose in this life.

Ok, you mistook what I originally said, I explained myself, that wasn't enough so why did you just keep going on about dark characters after I clearly explained that wasn't what was meant?

So you're angry about the tastes of comic readers and you're on the prowl looking for confict to vent your frustrations? You're a man on the edge! Get a grip, comics go through trends same as everything else and guess what? They weren't designed solely for your benefit.

You make generalized statements about how one company blows then go on about you're reading several of the books? That's stupid. Both companies rock and blow at the same time. At marvel you've got books like Capt., Iron Fist and Iniative at DC you've got the GLC corps war going on. Other than a few other books that's about all that's good in either universe and I'd really like to know how you loved AA since you seem to despise violence for violence's sake. That was the most craptacular read I've had since the days of the spider clone or some moron punching holes in dimensions. All I'm saying is both have their strengths and weaknesses and if you actually read both, then maybe tone down your ranting to a low whine.

Last issue: "DC is generally pretty good"? I guess you haven't seen Countdown yet, huh?
