If pornography is legal, why not prostitution?

Right. And if I was cooking up hooch in my still at home and selling Mason jars full of moonshine, it'd be illegal...but you can still go to the state run liquor store and buy all the booze you want, even boxes of it.

So, there should be safe, state run ****ehouses. If it happens outside of these, then fine, say it's illegal (I still disagree with that 'cause I can use my body to mow my neighbor's lawn IF the compensation my neighbor is offering makes it worth it to me. The same should go for using my body for sex.).

There are plenty of lonely losers and just plain horny guys who don't have any interest in a relationship (Charlie Sheen:"I don't pay hookers for sex. I pay them to go away afterwards.") who, if you told them they wouldn't be arrested if they went to the legal ****ehouse, would.

Its good to know I can get an STD or get someone pregnant from mowing my neighbor's lawn, its good to know.

For the other stuff, I can see where youre coming from but by that logic, we should make everything legal because you can just do it illegally anyway. Fact is, there is an inherent danger in a woman being out at all times of night picking up random strangers. That danger doesnt exist in a porno production (unless theyre doing some freaky ****).

that's illogical the reason they do it on the streets is because it's illegal. we all are in positions of danger from those that would seek to halm us. by your logic life should be illigal.

Yeah, if you take it to that extreme. Of course everything is dangerous, more people die walking down the street than any other form or transportation, but im not saying that should be made illegal. Where is a female more likely to get hurt, 3 am downtown being picked up by random dude and going to a locked motel or...filming a porn movie in some studio? Common sense, it defies all.

And personally, if they made prostiution legal, id frankly not give a damn. Im just stating the logic behind it. Porn is safer and easier to regulate.

what is made illigal is impossible to regulate, and often becomes unsafe. there are other dangers of prostitution tho but every job has dangers to the mind or body asfar as i can tell. it's just a matter of where the danger lies and if you accept it, or what you can do to minimise it. hiding from the law removes the ability to be protected by the law.

Then lets make all work illegal.:whatever:

The point is, prostitutes dont want to be regulated by the government, so making it legal would just make it harder for them to get work, thats why they dont want to be legalized. They control the prices and whatever they want to do. Thats the crux of the problem. If they amde it legal, with government regulated ****e houses, there would still be an abundance of illegal prostitution going on, theres really no way to regulate it. Of course you might cut back on the amount of it, but it will truly never ever ben completely regulated.

Haha! I don't need to do the song and dance for the average women. I have sex with tens. "Dimes". Meanwhile your chasing that chubby, goth girl that works at Walmart.

I've been found out:csad: i suppose prostitution could be legalized not in my lifetime, but with pleasure robots of course:huh:

Who cares? Why are all of you even arguing this? Some of you are married and the rest couldn't get laid even if prostitution was legal...

<Drunken Frat Boy>****es! Whooo! Yeah!!!!!!</Drunken Frat Boy>

When did the concept of a brothel escape you?

Haha! Amsterdam has legal prostitution AND the worlds most beautiful prostitutes. Go figure.

Amsterdamn isnt in the United States. You failed Geography didnt you?

I think you missed the point.

Legalization doesn't automatically result in lower quality.

I think you missed the point, Amsterdam isnt in the US, so bringing it up in this thread is illogical as your thread refers to US law.

My thread is not limited to the legal challenges but also the social and practical challenges as well.

For example, someone suggested legalization would result in uglier prostitutes and I cited Amsterdam as proof of otherwise. I don't understand how US law is even an issue in this case.

last time i checked...you can't get AIDS, or any STD for that matter, from a picture.

I've never met a prostitute than didn't use protection. I have met plenty of non-prostitutes that didn't. Go figure.

There are a lot of women who are golddiggers. That ain't prostitution outright; instead of getting some money from various men, golddiggers latch onto one man and suck his money dry. That's a legal form of prostitution.

Who says legalized prostitution should only involve women? :hyper:
