This wasn't some minor fcking feud and it lasted about ten to twenty fcking minutes (and that's only the part that I resulted to 'eye for an eye' level violence and putting myself out there). This was some pretty dark **** I'm talking about. I even had to result to having to "scare" him through making myself act more fcked up than he was, which even scared my sibling. I lost myself in this persona and was luckily able to draw myself out of it. Later found out that the guy was suicidal, on drugs, and was seriously fcked up at the time. This wasn't some low-level feud, it was something that could have escalated into a murder incident on either party.

I'm not crossing that line over a threat dude, I neutralized it without having to injure or kill the guy- thank god. But, I did see what being in one of these mental states was like without it escalating and that alone scared me.

And I'm betting that I've been alot further "out there" than you guys.

Saying something is one thing, being there and knowing-for fact-what you would do are two different things entirely. You don't know how fcked up this whole thing is until you lived through it or something similar to it- such as somebody threatening to kill a family member and you having to prevent the act.

Btw, should have made this more clear- the guy who was threatening and who I was against was my same age at the time(17).

This happened at the suburbs, at the guy's house. My sister, I and he were left alone.

Yeah, the guy was a friend. He's had serious psychiatric problems over the years. He attempted to commit suicide at one point a couple of months after all of this happened.

That's why I didn't kill him or want to injure him okay? I know that he's a good guy and only lost his mind for a while. I had to go crazy to try to restrain the guy and that's all.

So, no this isn't the downtown or New York City alleyway all of you guys are thinking about.

But, as said before- believe me or don't believe me- I don't fcking care.

You're missing what everyone is saying to you - we believe you. That's not the issue. All humans have a fight or flight response. It's not a "insane" thing. I'm a fairly sane person and I beat a guy down with my bare hands for less just because he pissed me off - I'm not proud of it, but what you're describing is not uncommon. You aren't the only guy, nor a member of a select few who has ever threatened someone who was threatening you. Moreover, you reacted a little more sanely than someone else in your situation might have.

Yeah, exactly. I grew up, when I was young, in a mafia controlled section of town. Writing "Get Out Now" on some Hooker's apartment in blood is a "darkside", just taking out a knife a threatening a dude...and hesitating to boot...is not a darkside...not even remotely.
