If the JLA gets Made how would you design the Costumes?????

yea thats just NASTY!!! she'd try to save someones kid and end up dropping it

Well no let me rephrase that; as long as it isnt Britney's ass :down

lol, no way , just that costume she had on when she was sane lol

That's way to complex and busy for my tastes. Part of my love for the GL costume is the simplicity of it.

I agree. With the GL costume I would stick close to Hal's duds. I might experiment with giving him green gloves instead of white (honestly, I suspect that he's got white gloves so we can see the ring), and maybe adding like a metallic rim on his mask like Rayner has. If it still doesn't look right, then I might try moving the green on the torso all the way up to the shoulders, like John's cartoon uniform.

Im not sure about green gloves IMO I think thing that they should either choose between White or black gloves white if its more like the Hal suit Black if it looks like John or Kyle's

Get the hell away from The SR costume. And since BSinger wouldn't be directing, I'll place wagers that the SR costume won't be there.

Or just drop them altogether and leave him gloveless.

Superman - I don't recall many changes in all the suits he has had, but for the sake of answering the question I would say the current suit.

Batman - His current comic suit.

Wonder Woman - I really liked the Donna Troy suit she wore while WW which was slightly different...but really any version of her suit would be best.

Martian Manhunter - While a lot of people didn't like the OYL Martian Manhunter being all emo, I do like his new suit. Perhaps tweak it here and there or blend it with the classic one and I'd say that would be good for the movie.

Green Lantern - This kind of depends on what GL: Alan, Hal, Guy, John, Kyle, etc. But I'm guessing it would be Hal because this would be the original line-up basically, so his classic one or the current one (small changes are made with the current).

Aquaman - I really like the Sub Diego "classic version revised"...but there is a picture Jim Lee drew in Superman: For Tomorrow I believe that was just amazing. I'd want them to go with that look.

Flash - Well uh...all the suits are the same minus small details like boots and such...so I'll just say current costumes.

Superman: Superman Returns Suit, with lighter colors.

Batman: The Dark Knight Costume

Wonder Woman: I don't think her costume needs to be changed at all, but Donna's costume from the new comics would be cool too see.

Flash: Like the first poster said, the same material as Spider-man. He needs to be able to move fast, and he needs to look like he can.

Martian Manhunter: Maybe a mixture of old and new. Bare chested with the red x and classic cape, but have the pants of the new suit.

Green Lantern: The same material as Superman's, and it's gotta be Hal's current one.

Aquaman...It depends on where they go with the character. Angry, mean King Orin or friendly Arthur Curry. Mean, go with the 90's and DCAU design. Friendly, Alex Ross design from Justice.

Zatanna: Gotta go with her current costume. Someone's gotta wear the fishnets in a JLA film, if not Zee, than BC.

Superman: The costume from the richard donner films was dead on so they could do that.

Batman: I'd like the see the grey and black, but it might not be a good idea. Batman hides in the shadows and uses fear to prey on his enemies, so they might see the grey. So then the Begins look would work.

Flash: That's easy, just stay to the book.

Manhunter: They can use his current look.

Aquaman: I liked the waterbearer pants because they had an organic look to them. It was like that was his real skin, part human part sea dweller. Then have the chain mail scale shirt or the SOW look. I prefer SOW with the waterbearer pants. They can shorten the shoulder pads, make them sparkling silver and have Atleantean jewels in them along with golden jewel gauntlets. Arthur is the king of Atlantis so he should look it.

WW: The Rucka style would work, but if she's going to be away from themyscara I can see her with the red white and blue. She does fight for equality and peace, so why not have her wear the red white and blue? Just make it like the warrior wear instead of a thong. She's WW, girls and women look up to her, she shouldn't look like a stripper.

GL: If it is John, then his comic look would be easy, if it's hal the samething.

I think the costumes should represent the different types of characters and powers in the movie.

For example Batman has the Bat suit, SWAT type battle armor. And since he is human he has a very man made looking suit, and a suit made to protect his body. It is gritty looking, and dark.
But Green Lantern's costume is a very alien looking police uniform that looks very alien and looks like it came from his imagination (no seems, zippers, buttons, belts or any of the sort.) His costume should be very bright, and sometimes glow, and look very sci fi and spacy.

I think the film, in my mind at the moment, seems to be about 6-7 very powerful superheroe who usually work alone, who come together and form the greatest superhero team in the world.
The film should embrace and maybe emphisise their different backgrounds, characters, powers, and costumes.

Maybe have a different design team on each costume (at first) to make each costume seem like they came from entirely different worlds. (while still looking like they are from one world and still look like their comic personas.)

I would like to see each member in their original costumes, but I just don't know if this will happen in the movie.
I think it's more likely they will use a single design. Now, I know the Justice League members are not the X-Men, and I'm not talking about uniformes,
more like a design which can be adapted to each heroes costume.
Superman would still have the red and blue, Batman would still be in black, and so on...

Think of the Justice episode from Smallville... Aquaman and Cyborg had costumes that resembled that of Green Arrow,
they were just slightly changed (in colors for example) to fit the characters.

With regards to the Flash. I would go with the costume they used in the tv series. While, some didn't like it. I thought what the costume was and why he used it made sense.

Maybe it's me, but I can't picture a live action Flash costume that isn't silly.

I love that costume - I just wish it wasnt so damn bulky. If he was to stand next to Supes, he's actually look bigger than him - a big no-no. Lose the cooling system they installed in the traps - if they use a different, lighter material, there wont be a need for the coolant.

I'd really love to see a costume in the same style (except with gold boots - unlike the tv shows red ones) but made from the same material as the Spidey suit (1st film).

Thats what I was trying to say in the other JLA thread.
Flash's costume in live action can look pretty silly (not saying it always does or that it will in the film) but it can.
So him being shown in a JLA film first might make him seem less silly later on in his own solo film.

I think though there might be a way to do his costume without making it look silly.
Look at the Ultimate type stuff, not saying they should copy that but I think there is a way to make a Flash costume in live action without looking silly.
I can see something along the lines of Batman Begin's type costuming, but with less grittyness and more of a Superman feel to it too.
I think it can be nearly skin tight without haveing to be rubber or leather or tights.

Anyway, I think its possible.

I think they should use the material similar to the Spider-Man, Fantastic Four or Superman costume. And there shouldn't be any big changes. Flash is one of those characters that can be easily brought on screen like Spider-Man IMO.

Too bulky.

Flash doesnt need armor.

The tight material of the Spider-man/ SR suit is better.

The reason the costume needed bulk was that John Wesley Ship didn't really have the physique. If you look at this pic of Ryan Reynolds. He actually looks like he works out. He wouldn't need the suit to be that padded.

Why would you want to fix what isn't broken? He's The Flash...his costume is functional and Dynamic, why screw it up. He's a Superhero, it doesn't need to be altered. If anything the TV show proved that. Use the Spidey material, make the boots yellow, and call it a day. It's time to ride the lightning, baby!

Dude imagine him in a Flash costume made from the Spider-Man Material. He would look so cool. I can definitely see him putting foot to ass using Super Speed.

Remember when Flash was a leaner character? Made more sense back then.

Painting is a different thing than real life/movie sets. You can control all the colors and how they interact with each other. Those bright colors in a real world setting would look ridiculous I'm sorry to say.

I disagree with Artistsean. Having them appear in their own movie is the best way. It's easier to take in one hero in a bright costume than several together. And don't say X-Men or FF because those were team heroes, but the costumes were exactly the same color and easier to take in as a group.
