I think the cast is the best thing about this franchise!

I think I agree with you there, although they really need to work on Dr. Doom, the actor is great, but I think they need to make his voice louder and deeper, and he needs to walk around like he's high on himself you know? I felt like he was some decrepit dude in a cloak in FF2 if that makes sense

Director: Brad Bird

Reed: Tom Hanks
Sue: Charlize Theron
Johnny: Ryan Phillippe
Ben Grim: CGI voiced by Vin Diesel
Dr.Doom: Daniel Day-Lewis

Goofy Tom Hanks should not be anywhere NEAR a Fantastic Four movie, except in the audience. He CERTAINLY would NOT make a good Reed Richards.

All the actors were perfect. I would only change Jessica Alba. She's very pretty and actually makes a very good Susan Storm-Richards. However, like Halle Berry in X-men, her ''star appeal'' gets in the way.

I would also change Mary Jane in Spiderman.

Which brings us back to Reese Witherspoon, Bam. Full circle.

I know I would like to see a new director, and new sue, but the rest of them I like I think evans and chiklis nailed the relationship between Johnny and Ben.

If I had one complaint with chiklis I would say he is too small but I don't know who you would get to play him, because I liked chiklis's portrayal.

My pick back before the cast was originally announced was.

Reed: George Clooney( and I have been corrected on this no reason to dig into the past.)
Sue: Elizabeth Shue or Kelly Preston
Johnny:no idea really enjoyed Evans Portrayal. I guess ryan phillipe is as good as anyone.
Ben: Patrick Warburton was my orignal pick but that was mostly because of his size and I wanted the thing to tower over the rest of the team.

I would love to see James Cameron direct the third installment.

Not only is he a great director and storyteller, he has been good friends with Jessica since Dark Angel and both have said they would love to work together on something again.

The cast don't need changing. They just need a more substantial, more serious script, with less hammy stuff and more emotion/drama. As for the director... well Tim stepped things up from FF1 to FF2 so he is capable, and the writing got better too...

I don't think Jessica's star power got in the way. She isn't that well-known. No one in my workplace seems to have heard of her!

I met Jessica and Michael and they were great. Very nice people. And I've always enjoyed what Jessica does in the movies - she acts the forcefield projection in a very believable way.

The only cast members I have some concern about are Ioan (but that might be the writing making Mr Fantastic seem a bit limp and weedy!) and Julian (who seems to like camping it up, but that might be the writing too).

Mr. Fantastic: James Caviezel
Invisible Woman: Diane Kruger
Human Torch:.....dunno
The Thing:.........dunno
Dr. Doom: Jeremy Irons or Jason Isaacs

Director: James Cameron

I think a movie like the Fantastic Four needs to be a little cheesy, I mean, they got their powers by flying through space and getting bombarded with cosmic radiation. What does that mean? And then they become celebrities? I think that the way to go would be a movie set in a quasi-1960s New York. The reason why it didn't work in the last two movies, I think, is that they stuck the Fantastic Four in the real world, rather than a world that compliments them. Take Batman, remember how Gotham City has looked in the Batman movies? How dark and moody and ****ed up the buildings were? That compliments Batman, and I think the Fantastic Four need a setting that compliments them as well. The Incredibles had it figured out, why can't the guys at FOX?

You could replace Tim Story with a 2x4 and have it work better...

Reese Witherspoon is a bigger name than Jessica Alba.

Unless you're a single male under 25, more people know Reese Witherspoon's work than Jessica Alba's. Chances are, Reese would actually command a higher dollar.

...and make more boring movies.

Oh yeah...Spider-Man 2, really boring. Oh, wait. That was a universally acclaimed Superhero classic. The Highest rated super hero movie of all time on Rotten Tomatoes, and one of the only movies of it's genre to have people who have lives enjoy it.

Yeah...what a terrible movie. Raimi's FF would be so much better than Story's it's not even funny.

Okay. You really liked it. That's you.

Others...like myself can and do feel different. Ah, (insert your favorite religious figure here) bless America.

I wasn't looking at it commercially, I was looking at it thinking that Reese Witherspoon reminds me a lot more of Sue Storm from the comics than Jessica Alba ever did. Sue has a motherly quality that I think Reese could pull off.

Zemeckis I think would be a great director for the Fantastic Four series if he wanted to do it.

Didn't she die?....if she did her daughter is still alive.....I remember her from the original Battlestar Galatica....
