If I would could do a what if... I would probably do something like Bullet Points starting with Captain America never being frozen during WWII (which im sure as already been done).

Captain America age would be slowed due to the Super Soldier Serum and later becomes President.

At the same time, mutants arise. The Mutant Registration Act is rushed into use. During an arrest of Charles Xavier, the officers become overexcited and beat him to death (a la Rodney King). Magneto would then start a mutant-free country, Genosha, protected by his X-Men (named for his friend).

On the homefront, Pres Rogers starts to programs: The Iron Men and the Super Soldier program.

Reed Richards, SHIELDs head scientist who postponed his space trip, started the super soldier program with 2 NASA pilots: Ben Grimm, his best friend, and Johnny Storm, his brother in law. Grimm becomes the new Captain America and Storm becomes the new Human Torch (based on Rogers android ally). They are joined by Ms Marvel and Namor(exiled from Atlantis for being a half breed). They call themselves the Warriors.

Vigilantes would team up as the New Warriros:
Spider man (leader)
Night-thrasher
Tigra
Cloak and Dagger

Russia kidnaps a American scientists and creates their own super soldiers:
Baron Zemo (leader)
Hulk
Giant Man
Wasp
Omega Red

Nick Fury, against Rogers plans, he starts his own international team witht he UN:
Wolverine (leader taken from Department H)
Ronin (anonymous person, not Echo or new guy)
Storm (who became a Queen in Africa, turning down T'Challa, falls in love with Wolvie, the tough guy)
I cant think of any other nationally diverse characters who aren't mutants, but you get the idea.

My original idea was to have a complex Cold War between super teams but now I think that would be kind of boring. I kind of like the idea of this world being a universe the Exiles would visit.

What If... Someone had Missed Jessica Jones?

Peter Parker, staying in contact with his old high school sweetheart, remains friends with her over the years, much to the chagrin of the other girls he dates. Peter and Jessica remain platonic over the years, staying out of each other's lives. Niether knows about the other's powers until Jessica turns up missing. Peter goes into detective mode, searching for his oldest friend. he slowy finds out about her powers and her double life, which mirrors his own. as he begins to realize what has happened and who has taken her, he creates a protective filter to keep him from falling under the Purple Man's thrall. Peter finds the Purple Man and beats him into a coma, able to illude all the slaves sent at him. as Purple-Man falls into the coma, Peter scoops Jessica, who he had to hit rather hard, up into his arms and brings her home. he lays her on the couch and this is the last straw for MJ, literally bringing another girl home. despite his explanation of who Jessica is she leaves. Peter nurses Jessica back to health. her mental recuperation though is a much longer road. when she awakes she clings to Peter and he allows it. he confesses his identity to her, and even puts Spider-Man on hold so he can be with her more. With Spider-Man on hold, Peter has time to go back to college and finish his doctorate, which he does in record time. As she lives with him (in her own room) Peter begins to develope real feelings for her, more than he had in high school. One day, Doctor Connors is having a bad reptilian relapse. Peter analyzes Doc Conners DNA and finds a segment that Conners has been over looking which causes all his constant relapses. He gives the syringe with the retro-virus to Jessica, telling her that only her strength can penetrate the scales. She injects it and cures Conners.

Peter begins to do this with many of his genetically altered villains, especially ones like Hydro-Man and Sand-Man. He is the leading Meta-Genetics authority in a years time, saving Bruce Banner from being launched into space by removing his gamma mutation. he then "cures" Wanda of her powers after she decimates the Avengers. leaving her with no mutant Powers. Pietro declares Peter a mutant-phobe and begins to raise a new Brotherhood of Mutants. Magneto understands the true reasons and refuses to Join his enraged son. House of M never happens.

I have this idea, Marvel might do something like this but it wont be exaclty like my idea so here it is,

What If: The NEW Crusaders (working title)

Captain America surrenders, is arrested, then on his way to the courthouse he is shot and killed.
Cap isn’t exactly dead though, his super soldier serum is somehow keeping him alive. But he is still being held in the SHEILD base fighting for his life in a comma.

The New Avengers find out, because of Ms. Marvel, and they make a dramatic rescue of Steve.
But during the rescue Steve dies, but it’s another fakeout.

(This part isn't that necissary to my story but it would be cool.

Now Steve, working with his New Avengers but not as their leader, hides out as Ronin. Sort of brooding a lot.

Meanwhile Tony Stark appoints a new Captain America, giving him Steve’s shield and costume. Tony knows this will have two effects. If Steve is alive then he will be angry, and he now has the Captain America he wanted and this new Captain America is a Government stooge, a puppet. This time Captain America does whatever the Government tells him to, and this is something else that would anger Steve. This new Cap isn’t just one man though. He is several trained SHEILD agents. That way he is more of an idea and if he dies another can take his place.

Some of the Reasons Tony would do this:
1. Captain America (to the public it is just one guy) is too important to America to let die.
2. This Captain America would do whatever Tony and SHEILD tell him to.
3. When one Captain America dies, another is put in his place and records of this agent being Captain America would be erased. This would keep the public from knowing Cap was dead and from his enemies knowing.
4. The public would think the heroes weren't fighting anymore and that all is right with the world. And that the symbol of America was working side by side with the government again.
5. If Steve was still alive it would get him angry, possibly enough to draw him out of hiding. (thats if he is revealed to be alive as Ronin)
6. In Tony's own way it would be giving honor to Captain America and Steve Rogers for all his years of service, from the Government, from Tony, and from the public who had recently seen Cap as un-American.
7. It would depower Captain America, in terms of authority. Making sure no one SHEILD agent ever became too attatched to the Captain America mantel like Steve did. If he ever had a problem with an order he could easily be replaced.

8. It would make THIS version of Captain America, Tony's SHIELD agent Captain America, less important. SHIELD's Captain would still be important and used alot, but the man behind the mask would be completely unimportant.(making him a nameless and faceless title for various agents. Leaving more room in the story for Tony, SHEILD, the mighty Avengers, the new Avengers, and Steve.)

Back to Steve, the New Avengers are now working with Nick Fury and the Winter Soldier. Both of whom had been underground this whole time. But some new heroes join to help, and they call themselves the new Crusaders:

Meanwhile, again: Clint Barton, or Hawkeye, is revealed to be alive. He was alive since House of M but has been sorting stuff out and is now back only to find that the world is so different now and not in a good way. He sides with Steve Rogers. He joins the Underground and becomes a New Avenger. But instead of being Hawkeye again he becomes the New Captain America. (There could even be some confusion, and misleading things that make the reader and other characters in the comic, like Tony, think that Hawkeye is Steve Rogers and that Ronin is Hawkeye. Or perhaps not.) (Maybe Ronin started out as Hawkeye, then they rescue Steve. Then Stevve becomes Ronin while Hawkeye becomes Captain America.)
He uses Steve original shield and original WWII costume. He also doesn’t lead the team though.

Things are coming towards another Civil War, but Steve refuses to let that happen again.
Their mission is to take down SHEILD once and for all, and without effecting the public.

Maybe, or not because lots of people don’t like it, Steve becomes the new Thor and Clint stays Captain America. (or not since lots of people seem to not like that idea.)

The whole idea would also work perfectly fine with Steve Rogers being dea and not in it at all. In fact it might work better because then the whole team, and the Neew Avengers, are fighting for his memory.

What If...Galactus never appeared, until superheroes faded away?

Forget heroes pitted against heroes. The SHRA comes into full swing, especially when SHIELD manages to recreate a perfect super soldier serum. Heroes have been around for some while now, some fading off into the distance...because times are changed.

SHIELD create a specialist unit, soldiers injected with the super soldier serum. Named the 'Deltite' soldiers, they protect the streets. People begin to rely on them even more. So the SHRA consider ridding the world of costumed heroes. There's too many incidents concerning heroes, so they pass a certain law by. It's illegal to meddle in costumed activities.

Obviously, the heroes rebel against the SHRA. The years go by, and they begin to return to normal lives. They can't win, there was too much of a fight against them. Steve Rogers' last huge fight was on the Helicarrier, the Red Skull had killed hundreds with a deadly flesh eating virus and it was up to Steve to stop the Skull. A brutal fight ended with the Skull being ripped in half. Since then, Steve had retired.

Over ten years pass. Matt Murdock is still a lawyer. Peter is married to Gwen, and is a high school teacher. Steve lives with Jan, enjoying a peaceful life.

Bruce Banner on the other hand, is still running away from his other life. He finds peace in a small house, in an abandoned nuclear testing desert. SHIELD and their Deltite soldiers track him down, ready for their final assault against Bruce. Problem is, they're going to come across another problem. A cosmic problem.

For a year now, the Silver Surfer has witnessed events on Earth as he serves Galactus. It is now the time, for Galactus to feed his hunger. On the planet Earth. A brutal fight ensues, involving the Surfer, the Deltite soldiers and a transformed Bruce Banner. The Hulk rampages, killing the soldiers...and even their leader, throwing 'Gabriel Jones' into a helicopter. To stop the threat, the Surfer rips apart the Hulk entity from Banner.

Meanwhile, a certain Mac Gargan (scorpion) has been found dead in his apartment. Much like the beginning of Watchmen . But who killed this former villain, retired to a normal life?

Basically;
What becomes of Bruce?
How will former heroes stop the threat of Galactus?
And is that, their only upcoming threat?
Who killed Mac, and why would they?
Was he up to something?


It's a nice little story I'm writing actually, 53 pages so far. Involving most of our heroes, even past villains. Including Nova, the Surfer, Cap.A, Spidey, Thanos, the Inhumans, the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, and even Galactus.

It was just an idea I came up with. I have a love for the Surfer, and I got this idea whilst watching the Incredibles.

What If... Big Hero Six

Having to do with Cap's death. The assassination is faked to remove Cap from the public life. He allows himself to be exiled in return for the amnesty offer to the other Heroes. And where do you lose a person? where can someone dissappear into a crowd? Tokyo, Japan.

His name is changed to "John T. Smith" and he is sworn to never return to ANY of his old names. He must embrace this new life. However, no matter what, you cannot suppress the heart of a hero. with crime on the rise in Japan, and super-villains who are fleeing the U.S. entering Japanese borders, John Smith begins to fight crime. At first he just fights with hit and run tactics, stopping robberys, and attacks, but it grows and evolves. the media discuss him. this "Wild American" who fought like it was the old west. it lead to him being called "The Cowboy". John Smith embraced it. He even created a costume to reflect it. This of course, stirs other meta-humans out of retirement. Baymax (who has gained sentience), Ronin, Sentai (a Japanese military official who gained the powers of a sun), and of course the Silver Samurai, and Go Go Tamago, have bonded together, and extend an invitation to "The Cowboy" (provided he can prove citizenship). They are not all in agreence, Silver Samurai and Go Go Tamago both object to the gajin joining the team. However Sentai was placed in command, despite Silver Samurai's seniority, but Ronin vouches for him. Ronin knows... she recognizes Steve's fighting style in John. She knows the moves. She knows the scent. How long can John smith stay seperate from Steve Rodgers?

IIRC Alex Wilder had already known about his parents and set up everyone else to find out their parents were villains so he could use them to root out the traitors in the Pride. So you'd have to tweak something else for it to work. But the idea of the kids going down another road and developing into villains, who either take over after their parents end up failing the Gibborim some other way and getting destroyed, or alternately set up their parents to die expressly so that they can take over West Coast crime for themselves, could be pretty compelling.

What if Peter Parker barrowed technology from each super villain he fought?
After fighting the Vulture Peter recreated that invention, then he did the same with Doc Ock's tenticals, and so on. He incorporated each invention into his spider-costume and used them in conjunction with his spider-powers. Maybe Peter would even barrow some hero's inventions.


What if Peter Parker became a scientist?
What if, even though he was being Spider-Man, Peter was able to become a big time scientist like Reed Richards or Tony Stark?

What if Red Hulk was actually WWHulk?

Red Hulk isn't a mystery in this story, it is quickly revealed that the "Red Hulk" is in fact the living embodiement of WWHulk's extreme power and rage. This would explain why his body is so atomic and firey, because he is seperated from Bruce's body.
While his actions are seemingly random it is put together by Samson that Red Hulk is going around trying to recreate the events of WWHulk and doing things WWHulk might have done. This time, without the Hulk/Banner side tempering the rage half, the pure rage side of WWHulk holds nothing back.
The only hope for stopping him is Bruce/Green Hulk and someone named A-Bomb?
Also starring Doc Samson, She-Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross, Tony Stark/Iron Man, and Shield Agent Maria Hill (thats her name right?)

What if: Events Comics Merged:

It all started with the Civil War, hero versus hero that ended with the death of Captain America, Stark becomeing new head of SHIELD, and the start of World War Hulk. Hulk had returned from space, where several heroes, including Tony Stark, had sent him. He was stronger, angerier, and smarter. He declared war on Earth and attempted to take it over. Meanwhile Cap's heroes were still being hunted. Hawkeye also made a strange return in the middle of all this chaos, he is asked by Tony Stark to take over as Captain America but he refuses the offer. The New Avengers went into hiding, and Bucky became the new Captain America. On the outskirts of this whole story, as a subplot, another Avenger, Thor had returned after a long absence. While mostly staying out of Earth's problems Thor did take offense to how Stark had let things get so out of hand. He says he was sent back by Odin for an important task. Meanwhile Hulk was stopped when all his massive energy was taken away. When Hulk attacked Blackbolt, another hero who sent him into space, it was revealed that Skrulls have been living on Earth and hiding as some heroes this whole time. Now no one was sure who was real and who was a Skrull. Even the real Captain America returns but turns out to be a Skrull. At the same time Nick Fury attempts to make a come back, and has to tangle with Skrulls himself who don't want him to return. The problem with the Skrulls leads to a secret Invasion and war with the Skrulls, which was suddenly ended by the arrival of the Red Hulk. It is revealed that several heroes were in fact Skrulls, like Hawkeye, Captain America, Ant Man, and tony Stark. Red Hulk went after Iron Man and SHIELD as well as killed the Abomination. Bruce was locked away, so it couldn't have been him. During a fight with the new A-Bomination, Rick Jones, the Red Hulk accidentally freed Bruce who turned into the Green Hulk. After a massive Red Hulk, Green Hulk, and Abomination, which ended with only the Red Hulk standing, fight Thor decided to step in to stop this.
After a massive fight, at the climax of the story, Red Hulk is so out of energy and power he transforms back into human form revealing that he is in fact Steve Rogers. Somehow brought back to life with atomic energy, perhaps by the Skrulls. But then Thor, seeing this, returns to human as well to reveale he too is Steve Rogers. He was turned into Thor by Odin after his death so that he could stop the Red Hulk. The two merge into one and rid themself of the radiation and hammer.
Nick Fury is back as head of SHIELD, the real Tony Stark and Ant Man, and others, are found, and Steve Rogers has returned to life and becomes Captain America again, and the Marvel Universe returns to normal.
