I mean do people really hate this casting decision? I've only heard positive to mixed things.

I was eagerly waiting to hear or read Ezra talk about his casting and well, he didn't disappoint. He sounds completely out there !

If Snyder allows him to inject some of his personnality into the Flash, the same way Chris Pratt did with Quill, I think we're gonna be in for a treat.

Yes. Agreed. I feel his Flash will be the harmony in all the chaos the Justice League will face. I think he's going to do well in the role.

Well... I can't say my own reaction would be different than Miller's in the same circumstances.

I kind of wonder if we'll learn that Miller has a history as a fan of. Super heroes as we get closer to filming? He's the right age to have grown up with JL/JLU at least or to have read John's Wally run of stories.

Not really. He just didn't like how the announcement of the casting was handled. The casting was announced a day after the ratings for the 2nd episode of Flash were released. And he felt that the announcement stole some attention from how great the show is doing.

Is not a missed opportunity, is part of the DC Multiverse:

I like CW's The Flash for what it is. But it doesn't mean I would want it to expanded to a movie and become the cinematic The Flash. For a DC cinematic universe I would want something bigger, bolder and just more cinematic on every level. The way they have introduced and developed The Flash and his world on the series works so well – in the context of being a lighter-fare, weekly TV-drama. The same approach is not as optimal when thinking of it as a major cinematic blockbuster.
