My guess is that the delay is to see how successful Superman is, if it is a hit The Batman 2 will be part of the DCU, if it is not the DCU will effectively be over. I don't think Brave and the Bold is getting made.

We’ve seen other sequels to films that took half a decade to come evaporate at the box office. Let’s hope the same fate doesn’t befall the Batman. Audiences abandoning the sequel when it took too long to come out is a thing.

I’m all for season 2 of The Penguin. Farrell and Miloti are effing great together. Have Zoe and Robert do guest star appearances to keep people intrigued.

I don't its getting made either, but for other reasons. I think Gunn lost control of Batman when The Penguin was a GOT level hit for HBO. They are going to cater to Reeves in order to get more. Getting to alternate between GOT and Batman shows is something I think they want.

The biggest lessons that Sony should be learning are:

- Forcing Avi Arad into retirement, pay him off or whatever you have to do. Also, give his yes men stooge producers the boot as well.

- Focus on different variants of Spider-Man and if they develop side characters and villains well enough, perhaps you can circle back to spinoffs.

And for the love of God, go back to Lord and Miller and beg for forgiveness

All these dumb spidey spin offs and we can't even get a slingers movie. I feel like chris columbus or the duffer brothers could probably make a good slingers film.

Boy they are just wasting the potential of the concept What If? on this randomness arent they.

Feels like they stopped caring and just started throwing random stuff together in season 3

It could be what you are saying, but the timing of it after the Superman trailer
broke WB viewership records makes me think it might be a situation where they feel one unified universe is the way to go. Who knows.

Were The Penguin's viewership numbers really that big? from what I read they were strong but nothing earth-shattering but perhaps more people watched as the show went along. Also, I think because Gunn is also the head of of DC and not just a director for Superman he may have more of an ability to influence Reeves. Just guesses though
