I feel for the VFX artists that have to slave away and waste their time replacing every shot of The Thing with the CGI model like they had to do for Spider-Man and Iron Man. Of course Marvel is going to let the really nice practical suit leak so they can trick people into thinking it's mostly practical

They could have at least done a hybrid. Detailed practical body suit with a CGI face.

I STILL legitimately do not understand why they needed to CGI Spiderman in Civil War when the actual practical costume Holland wore looked beautiful and 10x better.

Same reason they did in every other movie after, and with several other characters. Indecision. Sticking with the practical suit means you have to stick with what you shot. Everything be CG means you can make every change you could possibly want after countless test screenings and focus groups.

You mean the physical costume that had foam tape with the gold paint visibly cracking?

That was a nice little montage to get people hyped about whats to come. I think Marvel’s on a comeback and their 2025 output is gonna have some bangers in it (banking on Fantastic Four and Daredevil personally).

Its a bit tough to see but he definitely had chest hair

Although he's not nearly as hairy as Ruffalo, whereas Red Hulk appears more hairy than Harrison

Compared to the other on screen Hulks, Ruffalo is practically Burt Reynolds in that department.
