I'm thinking about buying a castle.

Some of you may know that I was a car salesman for a while. I put back a good bit of my income while doing it. I quit about a year ago and I've been thinking about what to do with it. Then I saw this website for buying castles. I found this one. It's in Florida. It has a mote and a pirate ship in the mote. I'm thinking about turning it into a bed and breakfast. Take a look. Does it look like some place you'd stay for a week or weekend and feel comfortable paying to do so?

I think those pics were taken at a bad time, if the foliage were greener then it would look spectacular. It seems like a good place to stay for a bit. But you have to think of how much work it's gonna be on your part too. All the lawn work, keeping the moat clean, upkeep on the outside of the building itself, keeping the rooms clean, cooking, and tons of other things to do. Seems like that could be a full scale business. I hope you're thinking of hiring a lot of help

I thought about it. I saw a nice one in Switzerland, but I'm kind of wary about buying property outside of the USA.

I think you should change the B+B idea and change into a full hotel idea. This place would be too awesome, your customers would feel like their getting ripped off being kicked out by noon. You can have stuff like game areas and serve awesome local types of dinners in the ship. There's so much more you could with this place.

Whatever you decide, I highly recommend getting a professional landscaper out there. Some of those plants look a bit iffy, but some different plants here and there, and some tropical flowers, and some pirate decor... ya I can see it all now.... nice.

By not being the honest one. But I don't have that much total, but I have enough for the down payment and I can get the loan from the bank for the rest. I have some good investments.
