In The End, Was The Wrestling Thread Worth It?

Ya know, If Nikki Bella had a shred of likeability in her onscreen character, I'd be tempted to champion the idea of having Bray Wyatt vs Cena follow a similar formula to the Sandman-Raven storyline where he could brainwash Nikki to joining his cult to get on Cena's bad side the same way Raven did with Sandman's family.

That kind of thing could have huge potential but sadly I'm not sure if, outside of Bryan, the audience would boo Bray for "brainwashing" anyone that might be friends/allies with Cena onscreen.

If either one had any talent it could really do wonders storyline wise. They could have had the Authority pit the Bellas against each other as a way to screw with Bryan and Cena. I think they were testing those waters a little while back with Bryan/Brie/Orton but they probably didn't like what they saw.

If true, this sucks. Was a fan of his. Surprised he was only 43. Feels like I've been watching him forever.

Rocket and Star Lord are where the money is at in GOTG. I hope Drax is great though.

RIP Mabel :(

Guardians trailer

I honestly don't think his title win would affect the movie's ticket sales, one way or another.

It's not like the WWE cares about the ticket sales anyway. If anything, they're hoping people will see Dave in the movie and pull in ratings for their shows.

but guardians doesn't come out till August when the rock won he had like 3 movies releasing. It just makes no sense

RIP Big Daddy V. I wasn't always a fan but liked him is his last run.

I met him back in 2005 following the Vengeance PPV. He was a great guy.

Here's his shoot interview from 2009:

Good times. I wonder if I still have that.

Guardians looks like Firefly with the outlandish aspects of comics thrown in. Could be a fun time at the movies.

Always liked those sun and moon tattoos. Also, loved his theme song.

Yep. He's a fan who talks about wrestling.

Apparently his team of Analysts have a growing fanbase and he has a Subscription based VIP site mostly centered about Pro Wrestling, General Sports, and MMA nostalgia from what I can tell. Retrospectives etc.

Just saw Cesaro vs. Cena. Star making performance. I hope Cesaro and Bryan kick off the chamber and he gets a good showing.

Complete 2/21 WWE Smackdown Taping Results

Source: ProWrestling.net

(1) Daniel Bryan def. Jack Swagger.

-Vickie Guerrero and director of operations Kane come out and announce that Bryan has another match…right now.

(2) Daniel Bryan def. Cesaro via disqualification. Jack Swagger stayed ringside with Zeb Colter, until they got kicked out. Kane wandered out mid-match to watch. Cesaro hit the Cesaro Swing, but Bryan hit his running knee. Kane stopped Bryan from winning, hitting a chokeslam and causing a DQ. Cesaro follows that up with the Neutralizer on Bryan.

(3) The Wyatt Family def. Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes and Goldust. Bray Wywatt won with Sister Abigail.

-Emma and Summer Rae had a dance-off. Summer won by fan participation.

(4) Dolph Ziggler def. Titus O'Neil. Darren Young was out for commentary, distracting his former partner and causing his loss.

(5) Jimmy Uso def. Road Dogg

(6) Sheamus def. Christian in the main event.

-In what was probably the dark segment, the Wyatt Family came out and attacked Sheamus. Daniel Bryan made the save. Kane came out, then the Usos. The babyfaces cleared the ring, with Erick Rowan taking a double superkick from the Usos, the Brogue Kick and a running knee from Daniel Bryan.

I'm sure some of the wrestling will be good but that is a very flat sounding show to lead into the PPV.

Sad to hear about Mabel.

I'm not going to claim to be his biggest fan, but I did recently come into the belief that he was better than he gets credit for. My thoughts go out to his family.
