In The Multiverse Of Madness Spoiler Discussion Thread

I saw the leak on Twitter (accidentally thanks to a friend retweeting)
who plays Black Bolt? I can't work it out

John Krasinski

If they cast him, I have to imagine he's also going to be the main MCU Reed and we are going to see him introduced. I doubt they would go to the trouble of casting him just to play a one-off alternate version of Reed when they could've brought back the guy from the Tim Story movies or something like that.

Guess it was only a matter of time before some these cameos leaked out. Seems someone always has to do it.

Not necessarily. He’s been a fan favorite for a role and this could just be a fun way of acknowledging it and Krasinski agreed because it was a one off. I’m sure we will get tons of stories about it next week and how it all came together

Also
For what I saw, he gets killed off quite brutally. Had they brought Gruffudd just for that, it would've been quite a punch to the gut for the people who grew up with those movies (like me lol).
If he was the MCU's Reed, well that would feel weird as well imo. We get this character fully established, already introduced and even killed off, and then we're meant to meet him for the first time later on?
Krasinski being a one off makes for a fun cameo with not much of an emotional attachment with the audience so the moment remains mostly cool rather than heartbreaking.
Also, sure, we see Stewart's Professor X getting killed off as well and that's also gonna hurt cause he's so well known. But this is, like, the fourth time we see him die. It loses the impact :hehe:

someone rumored says that
Prof. X now died for the 3rd time during the post credits - rhymes with Edpoole

I was just gonna say...

it's going to be a big letdown if this is Krasinski and Stewart's only MCU appearance

No the prevailing theory is that when Krasinski appears in the FF movie, he would play a different Reed than this one. Think about Loki. Loki in the show is not the Loki we know from the movies. In fact, he plays a bunch of different versions of himself in the series. Variants have been shown to be vastly different from the MCU version to the point where they look different or sometimes they look the same. So there is no element of tragedy here even if he is ends up in FF. This wasn't that Reed

John as Reed in this is a way to see if people like his Reed Richards. If they do Marvel will get him to do more, if not then at least they threw the people a bone who wanted John. It really is a win win for Marvel as far as casting Reed. I don't really care who plays Reed as long as the story is good. I like the Hickman run of FF4.

Its crazy to me that they got someone from the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and the Inhumans for this film... like that is so wild. I read the Inhumans few years ago while the first two are like my top 2 favorite Marvel teams. And Ive been waiting for these 3 ips to join the mcu. Its crazy they brought back Patrick Stewart and the actor from the Abc show. Then John Krasinski as Reed. It sounds almost like fan fiction.

I dont want to see any picture of the spoiler things it, I only have a question for the people, who already saw it:

Krasinskis Reed bearded or shaved?

I think the shock of seeing him show up as Mr Fantastic only to be killed twenty minutes later isn’t enough to gauge if people will like his take. People like the actor in general so would be happy to see him in the MCU in any capacity

Some people only need 1 scene to steal the show.

People have already seen the whole movie?

Critics are watching it today. I've seen a few tweets on it.

Has it been confirmed from someone who saw the whole film that...

Reed really dies?

They going to Ralph Bohner him then introduce a new Reed Richards in the next FF film with a different actor?

It’s like a big finger by Feige to give fans want they want then take it away.

If true, what a waste.
