Incredible Set Reports and Filming Updates!

I would have like glasses too. I was more hoping that Tyler sported a shorter hair cut....

I went back to set today. A little more info then I got yesterday!

They are currently shooting in the building on the right of Convocation Hall on the U of T campus. I walked by quickly but was able to glean a few things.

-U of T is filling in as Culver University, and they were setting up shooting in a building (i'm not sure what it's name or function is at U of T) that is identified as the physical sciences building.
-Vehicles on set for shooting were: 3 military vehicles, two Culver University security cars, and a US postal van (?)
-They were setting up for interiors however looked like they were also going to do some exteriors due to the vehicle presence. I also suspect they were going to be there till late tonight if anyone else fancy's a gander

From what I saw I would spec that the military shows at Banner's school (he's a prof maybe) because he's found something they're interested in. However I'm not to familiar with Hulk lore so some of you may have a better idea what was going on.

No pics sadly. :(

I live just around the corner from there :)

I got this from a member at Hulkmovie.com Boards.

We know that they are filming at Culver University, well the Culver University is where Banner had his Gamma accident in the TV Show.

Interesting.

Maybe this has something to do with the new origin. Maybe it doesn't.

Letterier did say there would be alot of easter eggs in the movie. Maybe this is just one of them, and has nothing to do with Hulks origin in TIH.

Hollywood blockbuster scouting locations in the Valley Town

Craig Campbell, Dundas
(Aug 10, 2007)

Producers of The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton and Liv Tyler, have scouted Dundas for filming locations and may shoot part of the blockbuster movie here next month.

Film publicist Karen Pidgurski confirmed the Valley Town has been checked out for the major motion picture which also features actors Tim Roth, William Hurt and Christina Cabot. But Ms. Pidgurski would not give any further details.

"(We) might end up there for a couple of days at some point during the next few months," she said. "However, that's all the information I am able to give you at this time."

The Incredible Hulk, directed by Louis Leterrier and based on the comic book character created by Stan Lee, is filming in Toronto, Trenton, Vancouver, Belleville and New York City until October. It's scheduled for release to theatres in June 2008.

Jacqueline Norton, Hamilton's film liaison officer, confirmed several projects are set to film in Dundas in the late summer and early fall.

Ms. Norton said none of the filming begins until after the Dundas Cactus Festival, which starts with the annual parade on Thursday, Aug. 16 and runs until Sunday, Aug. 19.

If The Incredible Hulk does set up shop in Dundas, it will come in the midst of several projects.

Ms. Norton said a film called The Good Witch will shoot in Dundas later this month, after Cactus Festival, for about three days.

She alluded to The Incredible Hulk potentially coming to Dundas in September, but couldn't confirm any details.

"It's a big one," Ms. Norton said, without giving the film's name.

Booky's Christmas, a sequel to the Canadian television movie Booky Makes Her Mark, is also scheduled to film in Dundas in September.

The original movie featured Canadian actresses Megan Follows, Tatiana Maslany, Lauren Collins, and Stacey Farber, and filmed in Dundas' Deluxe Restaurant in November 2005.

The Deluxe has been used as a location for television and cinema many times over the past seven years. It's been quiet since the spring 2006 filming of Closing the Ring, featuring director Richard Attenborough and actors Mischa Barton, Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer.

Though it hasn't operated as a restaurant for about 30 years, The Deluxe has been for sale for a year.

Robin Williams filmed a few scenes for his movie Man of the Year in, and around, the Deluxe Restaurant in December 2005.

The Incredible Hulk could bring two young Hollywod starts to Dundas. Ed Norton received Academy Award nominations for his roles in American History X and Primal Fear, as well as acclaim for Fight Club, The People Vs. Larry Flynt and Everyone Says I Love You. Liv Tyler has appeared in over 20 films, including The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Armageddon and That Thing You Do.

Hilarious. They've got this baby in a lockbox.

Right around the corner from where I work, I saw many of the crew members shooting this film. They were in Tim Hortons buying 60 breakfast meals. They have taken over an abandon steel mill right across the street from the Hamilton football stadium.

The sign on the factory gates says Hawkswood Steel - Importing and Exporting. The sign looks shiney and new, and as far as I can remember, there hasn't been a business in Hamilton with this particular name.

They've also been in many of the run-down and abandoned looking sotre front in Hamilton's east end.

Can't really tell what they are doing, but it's exciting that this big of a production is filming right near my home!

I see them every day around Ivor Wynne Stadium...that's about, what? 5 or 10 minute drive away?

The Steel Mill is near the corner of Chappel and Barton (behind Blockbuster Video)

The sign says Hawkwood Steel - Importing and Exporting. I can't remember this place ever being called Hawkwood, so I assume they must be using it for some shot in the movie because there are two, clean new signs on this old run down steel mill.

Just drove by the set on my way home,

At the corner of Barton Street and Ontario in Hamilton, they are using a hair salon. Now, they could just be using the inside of the store and dressing it up as something completely different, so I don't really know what to make of that particular location.

What I did see was an extra (I didn't recognize him as any actor I'd seen before) standing outside having a smoke break.

He was wearing a long black leather jacket with a red phoenix type logo embroidered on the back. He looked to be in his late 30's, and had long dirty blond hair.

hmm...steel mill?... admantanium?... wait, can Marvel use Adamantanium?

From todays National Post:

"For three nights next month, Yonge Street will close between College and Dundas for a massive Incredible Hulk fight scene that will see Toronto dressed like Harlem.

The city approved the film shoot for Sept. 17, 18 and 19, said filming commissioner Peter Finestone, quickly noting that permits were issued from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., meaning the shoot will not affect rush hour traffic."

"The large-scale Yonge Street closure is quite unusual for Toronto, Mr. Finestone said."

"We sometimes have a lane closure, or two lanes, but it's a rarity that we close an entire street."

"Mr. Finestone said the city has consulted with the Local Business Improvement Area since May. "This was a film that we actively pursued. It's very important to the city and the industry. It's approximately $100-million budget film so it's a very big budget film. It brings lots and lots of money into the community. Tens of millions of dollars will be spent in Toronto."

"The Incredible Hulk will employ about 150 workers from Deluxe post-production, headquartered on Adelaide Street East."

Superhero Hype gets a brief mention too.

100 million candadian dollars? It's more than 100 mill us. I know that. LOL

I think he's just happy we snagged a $100 million plus film, our lack of an extra large sound stage usually disqualifies us from contention for the big fx shoots.

I was down on Yonge st. of Toronto today (which is a 10 minute distance from where i live) i saw the Apollo theatre sign up and there was wires all across the sidewalks and police watching over the the people setting some stuff up. They were also taking down the Yonge st. and Gerrard st. signs. And there was also a road sign that said Yonge street will be closed from 7pm - 7am September 16-19.

I could try to get a picture of the apollo and the rest of the street if you would like.

Alright ill take a couple tommorow or the day after that depending on whether or not i am busy.

Heck, you should even try to get some of filming this upcoming week

around xmas would be my guess

Heres the pics that I took of the downtown Toronto area with the apollo sign up.

Here's a truck that men were getting materials off of. Not sure about how sets work, but it has ALOT of tubing. Looks like a bunch of hoses. Could water might be involved?)

Not sure if i can get some footage of the filming because i'm working those days except the 18th. But i will definitly stop by and take some more pics if there is anything new that is added. Also to note some of the shops nearby had their signs taken off, probably gona replace them with N.Y.C shops signs.
