I personally hope they keep the fighting style similar to what they did for the first as long as it's with the thugs and people we don't care about. i doubt the fights with the Joker will be as 'confusing' for people.0

Yeah - it would make sense in regards to their reasoning behind the shooting style as well as keep continuity in that respect

It would be awesome if the fighting looked similar to that in The Killing Joke :brucebat:

what are u talking about? Seems like I stated in both sentences that the camera work was terrible
The camera work was anything but terrible. Perhaps it didn't jive with your own personal want, but the style they used both makes sense and is done to fantastic effect. It's great filmmaking, using the camera to accentuate the mood of the scenes.

Do you understand why it was shot the way it was?

I fully understand why, but it was not a successful style for it was one of the failures in a great movie.

We ARE NOT the thugs and criminals but the viewer who needs to be entertained and actually see the action on the screen.

They say it's because we aren't supposed to fixate on Batman while he moves like a shadow, but how about the prison fight which was just not shot well and too close up.

You speak for everyone as if there is a consensus on this opinion.

Whether it works or not is completely subjective, although the actual idea behind it makes perfect sense.

Confusing the audience in an undisirable and absolutely non entertaining manner is one of Nolan's flaws in the movie. Bourne did the gritty style better and so did Casino Royale. They need to improve that in this. i want to SEE the fights. Bruce Lee and Jet Li have fast as hell fights but in those movie we can actually SEE the fights. That is one of the concepts of Batman, his ability to FIGHT and us to actually SEE it.

doesn't make it a good idea though. The movie was great but the fighting was not entertaining at all and has been done better by other movies of the same tone

How many times do I have to yell "SUBJECTIVE!" before you understand what I'm saying?

What the hell are you saying, battousi?

Only the first Batman fight needed the criminal's POV thing. KFM looks like such a great and innovative style. What's the point of using it if the audience can't even see it though?

My point exactly

TDK's fight scenes were better in every way, imo

Batman was more brutal in TDK and didn't really give anyone a chance, he didn't hold back with anyone in my opinion, not like he did in Begins.

TDK's fights were so good and clear, i could see everything. :D

even in the final sequence iside the costruction? some review say it gets kinda choppy with the editing jumping from floor to floor. Are the fights clear enough in that scene too or do they get like BB?

looks like from what i have seen, the dark knight is much better choreographed

Some fights are shot and edited in the same fashion as in BB, but the majority of them is better than anything seen in TDK's prequel.
