Being that The Joker is more youthful he's definitely gonna be a physically formidable opponent and being that it's based on the early appearances you can count on him fighting Batman. I just hope Nolan doesn't hold off on us when it comes to that fight like he did with Bats Vs. Ra's. I don't think the fight scenes should be a problem since the direction of them was a huge criticism held against BB even by some of it's more devoted admirers I'm guessing it's something Nolan and co. took into account.

Not when it comes to Joker.

Minor thugs and lackeys? Fine. I want to see it from their perspective. But not the major villains.

Hell no! Bruce went around the world to train body and mind! I want to see his fighting skills, not blurry images. Although stealth and surprise attacks are his skills, it would be cool to see Bats display his martial arts prowess.

I totally understood the 'first' fight at the docks, that was more from the crooks point of view but after that the fighting was frustrating.
the fight sequences are by far the weakest aspect of BB and for me the reason why I think BB trails SM-2 as 'best ever SH movie' if the fighting was strong it would have be the best hands down.

The "choppy/erratic" style worked in most of the fightscences in BB, but I would like to see another style in TDK. I want to see him fight.

The fighting in BB was quite visceral, and TDK should at least retain that feeling if not make it even more intense. All they have to do is just pull the camera a slight notch back and ease a little on the rapid cuts and everything will be perfect.

I really want to see Batman kick ass using Keysi - it's such an unusual, unconventional style but perfectly appropriate for someone like him because it looks like something he came up by himself rather than being some easily recognizable Eastern martial arts. The fight rehearsals in the BB special features proved that they went with the right choice.

the fighting style in BB is good. they just need to back up a bit so that we can see it.

oh and it needs to be edited better. i swear sometimes the fight choreography for the BTS is better than what we can make of it in the movie.

I have no problem with the fights, just how they are filmed and cut together..You couldn't really see what is going on, so i hope Noan has learned from past experiance.

No, fighting in BB was totally terrible. I want to see 'real' fights. And please, one bullet-time scene, Mr. Nolan. :oldrazz:

Please god change it. I understand the concept behind the BB style, but it really made me nauseous when I first saw the film and completely threw me out of the scenes. I don't care if the reasoning behind it is brilliant, no film should make me feel that uncomfortable. The second time it was easier to watch, but it still made me realize how bad the editing was. The only time the BB-style fighting worked was the scene at the docks, and that was mostly because it kept Batman hidden until he revealed himself to Falcone at the end. A lot of the other scenes I thought would be perfect if they actually let us see what was going on.

i think this new pics are proof that nolan was aware of the problems that the movie had. so i am 100% sure that we will get at least one normal edited fight.

i watched the DVD specials the other day... and the way they explained why it is filmed was really good and i could careless.... but i agree with what nolan said, fights have beecome more of a dance nowadays and you sit there like u watching it unfold... might be cool but Nolan makes it feel like you are there in the fight with it all happening....

i like it that way

I get what Nolan was trying to do and it's a nice idea I'd encourage....but imo he just never really pulled it of. It seems like good intentions gone wrong. As others have said he could acheive the desired effect just by pulling back the camera a little and slowing down the cuts. No ballet mind you, just don't make the scenes as choppy as he did.

Fortunately something tells me the improvements in the new suit won't be in vain.

bourne movies :cwink:

If I wanted to see flashes I'd go see a fireworks show. If I wanted to see fighting I'd go see a Batman movie. Go figure, chumps.

bourne movies have brutal realistic fighting. you see everything.

nolan just wanted that we see how fast batman is to the badguys. i respect that.
