I liked the fight scenes in BB but I´d like to see more done in TDK

It wouldn't bother me too much if the fight scenes were done the same as Begins, but I'd rather they be done differently. I'm not a huge fan of how they're edited.

The same as in 'Batman Begins' with the exception of while Batman is fighting the joker.

The fighting was tense and confusing and it's cool that we didn't really see ALL that Batman was doing to them.

Anything's better than those "dance routines" we had in the previous Batman movies.

I want the fighting to be brutal - I want Batman to be a real nasty piece of work, and I think the fighting in BB conveyed that pretty well.
Don't forget that while most of the fighting was close-up and claustrophobic, when it came to the fight with Ra's at the end it was it was shown differently :woot:

I don't like the labels for the choices. I want Nolan to change the direction style a bit, but I do want him to maintain that down and dirty vision. Heck, use some shaky-cam. Just pull the camera back a bit and slightly loosen up the editing so we can see more. In other words, I want THE BOURNE IDENTITY. He gave us THE BOURNE SUPREMACY.

hell no... I hated the erratic fight scenes. I wanted them to back out and let us see what Bale can really do with that specific fight style

I like the concept of the quick editing, but I think Nolan got a little carried away with it. I'd like each separate shot to last long enough for 2-3 moves. It's still quick that way, but you get a better sense of what he's doing. When it's done so quickly, you can't see the brutality of it, which actually contradicts the purpose behind using it in the first place. I'd also like to see Batman puncture a few lungs with those blades on the gauntlets.

in SM1 the fight with the GG at the end was brutal, the camara had a lot of energy and was choppy and moving around quite quickly but it was still MUCH better than BB you couldn't freaking see ANYTHING.

I was watching the extras and they worked had to perfect kenso/kensee/whatever...LOL you didn't see ANY of it

NO! Heck the Bourne fights weren't even as choppy as BB's. I'm hoping for something simmilar to the non slow motion fights in V for Vendetta.

I completely understand Nolan when he said that the reason for the fast cutting, and the camera beeing so close in all the time, was because he wanted the audience to feel what the bad guys felt, ones Batman attacked! Goes by fast, and before you know it, you're down on the ground bleeding!... I understand it, but I dont fully applause what he did!

It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly stupid actually!... In the special features on the Begins two-disc dvd, they explain why they chose this Keysi-martial-arts form! It hasn't been seen before! That was so true, and seeing the martial artists demonstrate the fighting-style in the special features looked so ****ing badass!!! Why??? Because you could see what was going on! WHY!?? Simple, because they panned out the camera!!!

I just find it DUMB that they searched the world for a unique fighting style to be used in Begins. Then when they found it, what do they do!!? They bring in the camera so damn close that you can't tell nor see what is going on! It's the absolute ONLY COMPLAINT I have to say about Begins!

So, for The Dark Knight! KEEP the badass fighting style, but pan out that damn camera!!!

They should slow it down a bit. I want to actually see the fight without making it go in slow motion on my dvd.

I thought the fight scenes towards the end of Begins were much better and you could see a lot more.

With that being said, I wouldn't mind something a little more clearer. Or at least keep the camera steady.

Well said.

I love the Begins moves..i just want the camera pulled back so it doesn't look so chaotic. Changing the fight direction now will make Batman's fighting style feel different from his style in BB.

I want them improved, but I really don't care. I don't care what the action looks like so long as it doesn't waste time.

I want a combination of BB and something fresh where we can see some of his kicks andor punches.

Maybe show him throw batarangs at thugs guns and use some gadgets.

Like others have said, for scenes like the "docks" in BB, use the stealth and strike approach. When you see Joker and his thugs, try and let the audience in on some still action. If this suit is suppose to be more mobile then I expect better fight sequences.

Im sure with all the mixed feeling about the fighting in BB, Charles would have asked Nolan to step back a bit on the fights to show more of the action.

I was dissapointed with the train fight thats for sure.

I thought the best action sequence in the film was when Bruce was still in training on the ice sheets in the beige outfiit.

No reason can justify to make such a mess out of Bat-fights. Better fight scenes please.

I voted no.Sure I think the way Nolan filmed the fight scenes in BB was very artistic, and even a little more suspenseful at times than if it was pulled out,but the fighting is just too darn cool to not show any of it.Though in Nolan's defense some of the fight's took place in tight quarters which limited where he could place the camera and have it look good,in particular when Ducard and Batman fight on the train at the end.Still that is no excuse why at other times when he could of pulled back and he still did it.I thought BB was the perfect Batman movie, but I wouldn't mind if the way the fight scenes were filmed changed to a little more pulled back look, maybe keep the quick cuts, but give the audience a little breathing space.
