Intergrating the Marvel Movieverse

So with 3 movies out from Marvel Studios how does everyone feel this whole integrated universe is coming along?

Personally I've found it to be half-assed so far.

There lacks a certain fluidity within this developing universe because it seems as if individual directors feel it as encroaching on their original ideas... So as a result things seem forced.

I really hope we get beyond the easter eggs and really get a feeling for a shared universe.

After Avengers, we'll probably see bigger cameos from the likes of Cap, Thor & IM. For instance, at the end of a Black Panther film, Cap congratulates T'Challa on his good work & asks if he wants to join the Avengers. Or in a Luke Cage movie, Iron Man is seen at the end to get some SHIELD guys to clean up Luke's mess.

I just want them to comfortably accommodate the larger universe.
If they are going to do something then they should do it right, it shouldn't be such a task, shouldn't be a forced add-on, the scripts should be written with crossovers already in mind.

i agree with SV & Bubonic about the longer cameos, but why limit it to just few second cameos at the end of the movie? Why not find some way to incorporate the characters within the movie itself

It's a little too early to judge, but I'm loving it so far. I think it's coming together really well, and it's very exciting.

I think that after The Avengers, the MCU will be much smoother. Marvel really wants The Avengers to be the huge money maker and if it is there will be less pressure to force crossovers.

I believe Marvel hires these directors who will accept an expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe, so I believe they're all up for it.

Like what was said before, there will be probably more crossovers in The Avengers and post-Avengers.

Agreed. The only true crossover so far was at the end of TIH. You can't crossover if the superhero character doing so hasn't been introduced yet. So when Thor comes out, Fury or BW or Iron Man or Hulk are all fair game since they've all been introduced. But I wouldn't expect to see Cap or Thor show up before their initial movies. Now post-Avengers, this isn't going to be a problem for obvious reasons. These will also likely serve as vehicles to introduce smaller characters who probably couldn't hold their own intro movie on their own.

i'd like to see maybe captain britain and/or union jack in the MU movie world..UJ might be in the cap movie..

Those are some amazing pics.

I believe its guaranteed Union Jack will be in the Captain America film. He's probably the only Invader that will work no matter how realistic or fantastic they get.
