I've seen people on this site say the thing about slaves being treated well. You do a google search on the subject and see it's an idea gaining momentum with some people.

I'm not personally saying this I'm just pointing out that I'm seeing this line of thinking more and more. IMO you have to be willfully ignorant to totally separate slavery from the civil war. Some will say it's about states rights ignoring that the main right being defended was the right to own slaves.
