I have a closely shaved goatee that I think looks good and neat but should I play it safe and shave it off? Its for a sales position for a Health advisors firm.

Suggestions?

I would play it safe and shave. It's odd how some people react towards these things.

Shave, and ask what the the rules about face hair at the place.

If your even half way desperate just shave it off... Worse case scenario is you grow it back later.

Funny! You're the last person I would have thought to suggest shaving. lol!

shave, someone told me that you will increase your chances by 25%-35%

okay, I think I'll shave but should I keep the stash or shave all of it off?

no, shave it all off..... yes even there lol

Facial hair is perceived as threatening apparently. Clean shaven guys are viewed as innocent.

no shaving. keep your dignity and leave it. hell, dye f u into it in different colors just to show them who's boss

*shreds your resume*
:hehe:
i had a goatee, but now i just have the bottom part of the goatee

Always shave your vagina before a job interview.

As far as facial hair goes, yes, shave it. Especially if you're not exactly good at grooming yourself, clean shaven is usually the best way to avoid letting your potential boss know that.

Don't listen to Bnightwing. Shaving during your period will just get gross.

I'd scout the place to see who has one, but don't get mad if the person interviewing walks in with a goatee.

I do interviews at work and I can say that 90% of the men with facial hair are either poor maintainers or they are wearing a style of facial hair that I don't like... For instance I hate goatees but I love beards. He walks in wearing the wrong face-scarf and he might be in for it.

Big ****ing yes! They can pick on every little things including the facial hair.

I would say it depends, if there is a babyface underneath the facial hair then don't shave, you don't want to look about 12 in the interview.:oldrazz: But go ahead and shave if you still look mature without it, you might as well play it safe.

You want to go in clean shaven if you want a better chance. It will not be the deciding factor but it will affect the recruiter's mind.

Shave. And since no one else said it...good luck on your interview.
