Oooh, I like these suggestions a lot. I'd heard Kwanten brought up before, but not the other two. My new list of faves for the role:I know there's more we agree on, but always happy to have something solidified.
I'd say my top choices(in no order than the first one being my first choice) for Iron Fist would be;
...Ryan Kwanten...Benjamin Mackenzie...Justin Hartley.
Marsha Thomason is a fantastic suggestion.As for Misty Knight, I love some of the suggestions in here, with Sydney Poitier being the best chioce, though I also liked the suggestions of Jessica Lucas, Zoe Saldana, and YaYa DaCosta(I know she's from ANTM, but her small roles in big movies have been pretty good, I think she'd own as Misty if given the chance), but I'd also throw these names into the list; Joy Bryant, Marsha Thomason, Regina Hall, and Bianca Lawson.
Agreed.And for Colleen Wing, I'd like to see either Moon Bloodgood, Maggie Q, Grace Park, Lindsay Price, or Julia Ling. I love Olivia Wilde, but the suggestion of her in this role is laughable.
I believe the right director *coughRefncough* could convince him! Seriously though, I know it's not gonna happen, but I can't let go, lol.As awesome as Gosling would be, he's stated clearly and kept to his word he's not interested in superhero roles.![]()
I'm torn on that. I LOVED XM: First Class. Completely loved it. I just can't shake the feeling that their attempt to build an audience for that brand with the next one will fail, and that the entire franchise is a sinking ship. So I've been reluctant to wish that on any promising up-and-comers. I hope the FC sequel proves me wrong, though, and ends up being a true breakout hit.I could see Liam Hemsworth in the role as well, though he's another actor I would prefer to see in the XM: First Class series.
I like the sound of that plot direction, but isn't Bevatron French (part of what you meant by "semi-altered")? That seems like a waste of an opportunity to get an awesome French actor into the mix...or maybe it just seems like that to me because I love French actors.I see him as a semi-altered Bevatron. I see Magneto copying Xavier's idea to teach students in his mindset though, and with Emma joining his Brotherhood, they can start recruiting Hellions.
Sure he's tall, but he seems much leaner than his bro to me.I dunno about Liam for IF. He's huge like his bro, and didn't we just get thru agreeing that Danny's supposed to be more lean and athletic? Plus his official stats list him as 5'11".
Certainly, I agree with your statement about Chuck Norris. He is an awesome martial artist and would actually bring some authenticity to a movie about Iron Fist.

I'd say my top choices(in no order than the first one being my first choice) for Iron Fist would be;
Cam Gigandet, Charlie Hunnam, Garret Hedlund, Ryan Kwanten, Ryan Phillipe, Benjamin Mackenzie, Jensen Ackles(though I prefer him for Venom in new Spidey-verse), Ryan Reynolds(I know he failed with Green Lantern, but I didn't find him to be the big problem there), Justin Hartley.

And I prefer Lachman for Psylocke in the XM: First Class series, but won't complain if she's cast.
Maybe Norris could be Orson Randall?

Yeah, I'm sure there's plenty of actors in the same mold as the ones I've listed who would fit the role just the same.A good list here Majik, there seems to be alot of great candidates for the role of Danny Rand.
I always saw Betsy Braddock as an Asian Brit.I know it's off topic but it makes me sad that people associate the character Psylocke with being Asian rather than her true British origins. I liked the ninja Psylocke in the X-books but I always preferred Betsy Braddock, Captain Britain's kid sister. I grew to love the character at the end of Alan Davis's pen and felt she had guts and ability a-plenty before the ninja transformation. I'm sure I'm in the minority though![]()
can anyone tell me the best Iron Fist story to read in order to get a good sense of his origin, who he is as a character, etc.
Hedlund and Hunnam both favor Rand looks wise, so either would be cool. I might say Hedlund would have an edge due to his playing Rand-like characters before.
