I know I mean honestly some people are too opinionated.

I've long since accepted that Cyclops is the X-Movies' sacrificial lamb - they sacrificed his screen time in X2 for more Storm and Wolverine time, and they're sacrificing his life in X3 to feed Halle Berry's ego.
I wouldn't say that.

I mean:

X-MEN- Cyclops got enough screen time to suit him.
For an ensamble cast he got enough to show that he WAS the leader.
The scenes with just Xavier and Scott were perfect to display their relationship.
And the Jean Grey and Scott relationship was very good.
He even was the one who stopped Sabertooth and Magneto.

Yeah, this movie did star Wolverine, but that's just how it's going to be. He is the most famous of the X-men, and very marketable.

X2: X-MEN UNITED- The story was a combination of "GOD LOVES, MAN KILLS" and an original story of the Weapon X story.

In "GOD LOVES, MAN KILLS", Xavier is kidnapped to do verymuch what he did in X2, and he is kidnapped with Scott, who does not become instrumental until the end of the story, when he stops Xavier. Granted, in the comics Storm was ALSO kidnapped, I quess all you can say is the squeaky wheel gets the greace. I mean, Instead of Scott breaking out and saving the world, like in the comics, Storm never was kidnapped but still got to save the world and stop Xavier.

So, yes, as far as movie two goes, he got the shaft.

X3: THE LAST STAND With this one, outright gets screwed. You could argue that for the length of the series he's had adequate screen time to miss a movie, which would be true, had he not been shafted in part 2.
I think that it will work, however, for this story. Having Jean and Scott both fall victim to her awesome power and end up together in death. However, I'd rather him survive, as the new leader of the X-men. To be a strong character, and to make good on the promise he made Xavier in movie one, "if anything happens...I'll take care of them."

^That's the Cyclops I want to see.

FOX supposedly fought hard to keep the story under wraps, but it appears that it's just the opposite. Why in the world are all these clips being shown. Mainly of action? I don't know it doesn't sit well with me. A studio knows when it has a bomb on its hand, and one sign is nothing but action clips shown over and over. I get the feeling that I've seen all the action.
For me its bad cause some of the clips are disappointing but its mostly a good sign...it shows that Fox is very confident and proud of the film...Remember Catwoman, the lack of clips, well I hope the polar opposite is happening here

can somone gave me a link where to find all clips?

thanks.

Putting his hand on Scott's shoulder and saying "Maybe it's about time to move on"? That's waaaay too touchy-feely for Wolverine.

That is called "touching". That is not "touchy-feely". I mean, they were holding each other at the end of X2. And Wolverine making this gesture speaks volumes about their relationship in this franchise. It can easily be interpreted as: Wolverine's starting to realize how he's treated Cyclops, and he's trying to make things right. He just doesn't neccessarily know how.

He's not supposed to be a nice guy who is sympathetic, especially not to Scott. He wouldn't have said a damn thing to him about it, but instead would have said in an aside to himself "Guy wants to keep grieving, that's his problem." That scene was out of character for Wolverine.

Are you telling me there's never been a scene where Wolverine shows any sympathy in the comics? This version of Wolverine (the movie version) has shown this side of him before in X-MEN and X2, so it's hardly out of character for him.

As for Jim doing work for Superman, I'll just say this. McKellen's shooting schedule for X2 was a matter of weeks, and he had a pivotal role in the film.

I believe that has been proven to be a false rumor.

And it's not the screentime as much that bothers me but the apparent killing. They didn't have to kill him. There is no feasible excuse to kill him off.

Here are several.

1. They have to resolve the Scott/Jean Grey storyline.

2. There has to be a reason for Cyclops to be in the film.

3. They don't know if this is the last film, but in case it is, they have to resolve Scott as a character, period, in case it is.

4. They've already done the "taking him out of action for half the film" thing. Doing it again would be redundant and have little impact on the story this time, since they've also done the "Scott turns bad" thing.

5. Killing him off solves all these problems and allows for the introduction and development or spotlighting of several other beloved X-Men characters (Beast, Angel, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Juggernaut). If Scott Summers had a larger role in X3, you likely would never have seen Beast, Angel, Kitty Pryde, or some of the others. There just wouldn't have been room for it.

Now, you have James Marsden for a limited amount of time. You haven't time to shoot multiple scenes that keep him in the story for the entirety of it. But you have to resolve his character issues. You really only have a few options. Killing him off may prove to be the most viable.

Regardless of his restricted shooting schedule. No actor was as enthusiastic about these movies than Marsden as far as I can tell, and that's one hell of a way to repay the guy.

According to Kinberg and Penn, Marsden was very pleased with his time in X3.

Well at last Marsden was pleased with his time in the movie :]
I'm still looking forward to it, and I don't think that scene with Wolverine/Cyclops was out of character, I have seen the series and he does get some emotional scene's there with other characters.

1. How about by having Cyclops fight through the emotional adversity he's obviously facing, of witnessing the woman that he loves die, even if through an act of heroism, to only later watch her rise from the waters that killed her, and then become corrupted, and evil, and the ends that he will go to to fight for her and their love, to save her, to bring her back. The fact that he'll never give up on her. And when he does bring her back, they get married, and their love prevails.

2. See #1.

3. You can resolve Scott as a character; by having him take over Xavier's school, by having him save his lover from the corruption that has overcome her.

4. But this time if he's taken out for half the movie because of his lover, it will show the strength of the character, how he will fight through the emotional and physical pain to fight for her, to bring her back, that no matter what, he will never give up on her.

5. I never asked to see Kitty Pryde. Never. And to be honest, I don't know of many people who did. Sure, Beast and Angel are great additions, so is the expanded role of Colossus. But the main priority should be established characters. Plain and simple. And do you mean to tell me that there is absolutley no way to keep Scott in a pivitol role and still introduce Angel and Beast, and expand Colossus and Kitty Pryde? Because I can tell you, it is very possible. It just might require a 2 hour movie instead of an hour and a half movie.

I think it's tottally OVER-KILL with all of the footage that's beeing shown from X3.. it's stupid.. It feels like such a plain movie to me... Unlike superman returns which has monsterous MYSTERY surrounding it!

ps. Most of the dialouqe I've heard thos far, sounds pretty chease...
