With a 3am timesot, it might as well not be. DVR or not, it's clear Cartoon Network doesn't care about the show.

Yeah, just like they don't care about shows like Venture Brothers, Robot Chicken, The Boondocks, or AquaTeen Hunger Force.

I loved Gotham Knight. It has three of the best animated Batman stories ever done to my eyes. Maybe four. The only one I found underwhelming was the force field vest one. Other wise, they were all well written and designed to me. Conroy doing Bats is the cherry on top.

I'm not sure why anyone would attempt to blame the GL movie's failure on anything but it's inferior quality. It was terrible and got an appropriately terrible response. That's not to say questionable movies don't make money, but I find that those movies at least have something going for them that compels people to spend money (in the case of transformers, the incredible action sequences) and GL had nothing.

It's a rationalization. They personally liked the movie and it bothers them that it's generally regarded as a POS and a failure. Pretty common on these boards, though usually the movies in question aren't as bad as GL.

I think that people are forgetting that quality is a relative thing and it depends on who is judging it. Film critics didn't like the movie, and I am willing to bet that a lot of folks are saying that they think it was bad either based on that or on the peer pressure and fear of being criticized for saying that the film wasn't bad. The truth of the matter is that exit polling showed that most people liked the film (although many adults thought it was average) and the demographic that really enjoyed it most were children under the age of 12.

Great. Let's move on.

I thought the Wondie DTV was pretty solid. I never really checked the numbers. Good to hear it found an audience.

I liked Green Lantern, and I honestly don't see why people say it's such horrible movie. I realize it wasn't perfect, it definitely could have been better, but it certainly wasn't as horrible as people seem to think (IMO).

All of those shows air earlier in the night with reapeats of the same episodes at 3am.

I think it deserves all the hate it gets. Just a sloppily made movie.

It really does. I joined the Hype because of that movie and I was hugely disappointed in the results. :csad:

Yeah, I don't know who you could spin the airing of new episodes at 3am for a kids show as a positive. :hehe:

I forgot to even mention all those shows mentioned are more adult oriented shows. Dino's really reaching.

Both GLTAS and YJ were part of the DC Nation block. They never changed from that. The shows were just not getting the ratings that Star Wars: Clone wars was getting (i.e. top 10 in ratings).

Either Way, it dosent mean that their respective brands are at fault, especially since YJ had the Justice League as supporting characters.

The show is still on the air, which is just the opposite of what you said.

No, I said WB messes with their scheduling before canning them. If you honestly think they're gonna renew Beware the Batman, you're deluding yourself.

That was taken from data provided at The-Numbers.com website.

Yeah, well I'm on that very same site, and I'm seeing slightly different numbers from this graphic you posted here.

Once again...EITHER WAY, the GL film bombing has nothing to do with GL as a brand.

We'll just have to "agree to disagree" (I actually kinda hate that phrase,TBH) because I really don't feel it's that bad.

Not even talking about the technical film making problems I found it just to be incredibly boring and unimaginative.

That's the cardinal sin for a film in my view. Have terrible acting, have stupid dialogue, have sloppy editing and pacing, have ugly production design... just don't bore me.

My gripe with it was that it was all those things you mentioned strewn together in a pot.

haha yea exactly. But if a film is fun and entertaining i can somewhat forgive those flaws.

GL was dreadful, but I can't honestly say I found it objectively worse than about a third of comicbook movies.

I don't think it was that bad either. I had a better time with GL than I had with both Thor movies.

I haven't seen the second Thor. I found the first one very boring, but I did enjoy the crazy-camp of the He Man style costumes in Asgard. A low point in the genre for me (excluding movies that need not be mentioned, like Catwoman), was Iron Man 2, not least because I liked the first one.

The first Thor at least had some great acting and interesting production design.

For me, Green Lantern had neither. The design of Oa was so... ordinary and generic. The exact opposite of what i expect from the Green Lantern mythos. Their whole thing is imagination. The GL film had no imagination. And what the hell was Tim Robins doing? haha how can such a great actor give such a terrible performance?

I thought both the first and second thor were boring, unimaginative, and they didn't even have good action.

Iron Man 2 is also really boring.

Green Lantern was by no mean a good movie. but those movies get a pass for whatever reason when GL gets trashed everyday.

How some can call MOS the greatest thing ever and dismiss GL as some turd is amazing, considering MOS is only a bit better than GL. Overall both terrible films that should have been better.

Well maybe we have all different opinion. Amazing concept i know.

Gl is a turd for me. Mos an average movie.

Who said we cant have different opinions? I just said it was amazing and in truth also amusing....................never change SHH never change.

You didn't say it, but your condescending know it all attitude say it all. Carry on.

For me, the opening sequence of MoS contains more merit than the entirety of a GL or an Iron Man 2.
