This “great” American institution has now become common in the U.K. Halloween costumes are a reflection of the obsession amongst children far to young to engender “horniness”. I feel most of the costumes have really one purpose to provide the local paedophile with a show. He no longer has to travel to some remote nation, now the wannabe Gary Glitter only has to open his door. Kids have been brainwashed to think that to be desired is beautiful. They can't tell the difference between being treated as a sex slave and genuine love. They pressure their mothers to get them a costume each year, and the distraught mum, thinking that the trendy costumes are normal, accede to the purchase even if her misgivings about the skin, butt, and cleavage exposure scream at a remote distance in her conscience. The desire for her child to conform and be accepted runs stronger than imposing what is rightful decorum and discipline. The costume tags say all: sexy pirate, sexy cop, sexy geisha, among others. The designs range from costumes promoting kinky sex fantasies to out-and-out ****tiness. The question comes...:"Are the kids expected to do tricks"? What sort of Tricks are these, the one they are dressed for? It appears to me more American corruption for the youth of the world. Why do we in the U.K. have to put up with this strange ritual from the land of the freaks and the home of the depraved. They may take pleasure in making everyone a Britney Spears, Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, why should we? They want to cash in on this perceived trend and goad young kids to "justifiably do so" as a Halloween treat. It just makes me wonder who the hell do the manufactures of these clothes and promoters of this attitude think this treat is for. They are kids dammit!
