Is it really "Just the internet"?

I'm fickle and my emotions are easily aroused. Among other things.

And food is the only thing that gets me through the day. I have to suicide now. I hope you're happy.

Kipobe writes love letters on flash paper.

You're my favorite person in the world, Wil. And I'm counting jackcool who I've loved aimlessly and consistently for 5 years now with absolutely no reason behind it.

If I was recruiting a Superteam, what would you say a Bamfer has over say a Nosebleed?

More experience at being inexperienced at life and vast experience at networking through the internet due to chronic halitosis.

It's not that I really want you dead, but loving you would clog my calender and confuse me... and you don't want me confused, do you? Do your part! Spay or neuter your pets! Kill your life! Kipobe!

Well, when you put it that way I can't help but see the logic of it all.

You know if you brushed your tongue you probably wouldn't have bad breath.

Having agoraphobia, the internet is invaluable, shopping, wasting time, social, entertainment, education, all easily accessible, there is a risk of becoming too dependent, like those kids that's play mmorpg's 24 hours a day until there brain fry's.

Relationship wise, would take a stab in the dark and say it is more welcoming, were as in the real world, people judge you on appearance, history and so fourth, the internet is sort of like a totally accepting dog waggling it's tale, through a certain amount of (supposed) anonymity's even the largest of rejects can find them selfs accepting into a social group, be it bulletin boards, internet gaming, youtube type things, msn, there are alot of people who would and do take advantage of this for more devious purposes, terrorists, pedophiles, pirates and annoying 14 year old counterstrike players calling you noob every 5 seconds.

I know many on here have developed strong bonds, friendships and such.
Hell, many use this forum to stay in touch with their loved one that are so far away and may have increased their heart felt connection through interaction here. Some have met their spouse through boards.

I'm fond of many here, I can't say that I've developed any lasting friendships, maybe I have and I just don't know it. Is there a decoder for internet friend ship and etiquette? I'm clueless.

I've met a few people that I've talked to on line and I'm sure many on here have as well.

Tell me...how do you feel?

I can imagine your not social in real life, usually people who don't have much friends in real life would say something like that.As for people meeting partners online, how long does that last?

My roommate met a cute girl online, who was not a failed male actor in his mid-30's, but actually a cute chick.

We live in Seattle, she lived in Texas.
She moved here and they were together for a good 3.5, 4 years.
So that happens.

My other roommate's girlfriend was addicted to Everquest 2 and played it with him all the time and she was hot.
So, yes, sometimes the hot Wood Elf you're on a quest with is actually a hot chick in real life.

Also, she was a cheating ****e, so yes, you may have a chance with that hot Wood Elf who says she has a boyfriend but is flirting with you while you're slaying Goblins.

I don't know if I'd meet my eventual wife on here, or if I even wanted to.

But there are people on here I wouldn't mind meeting in real life.

Business wise its been a complete and utter disappointment. As far as comic contacts and collaborators-worthless.From the jump I was convinced of the opposite. That it could be a good outlet for making solid contacts,...Now all thats out there is people who owe me money...
The same can be said for my real job.Id say at least 90% of the emails we get from people interested in quotes dont pan out

I met the man I married online. We happened to live in nearby towns, though, so it was never a long-distance relationship once it became a relationship.

Sniff....wipes tear from eye....

Yes the Hype is a new social network. You can not deny the passion and friendships shared on here. Even if it is on line.
