What makes people say that? Is it because Franco was a better actor than Tobey so people expect more of a performance from Harry now?

I guess people think he looks like Harry and I actually agree with that. Though, I think he looks abit like Peter too and I think his acting skills fit more for him than for Harry so I still say, Yelchin for Spidey!

My sentiments exactly.

Yelchin looks very close to Harry with his short hair. But when he has hair like in CB,he looks like Peter. Besides Peter has curtains in Ultimate,Sony will probably want Yelchin to have them (if and hopefully he is cast).

I cant get over why looks are the most important feature to some people.

Yelchin does have a harry look to him but he could easily look more like peter upon having a different hair style. The most important thing is, Yeltchin has the acting chops and charisma to pull of peter/spidey...even in his sleep.

Heres my favourite scene from Charlie Bartlett,I couldn't stop laughing. Yelchin can make you laugh in many ways...very important for Spidey.

he looks kind of old but they might be able to make him look young. part of why he looks so nerdy, which is a good thing, is because of his ears. As he gets older in the sequels they can glue his ears back like they do for a lot of famous people, and give him the cooler look Peter had in his later years.

As far as his appearance my only concern is his age. I've never seen him in anything so I can't comment on his acting skills.

He wasn't in the first list that was reported, however it was reported a few days later that Yelchin and Aaron Johnson were both added to the original list.
