No. It was a fun sequence, and looked great, but it's not the best scene. There's several other scenes that are better. The opening scene for starters.

The opening scene was pretty cool and mysterious! And I love the score for that scene.

My favorite scenes were
Opening Sequence with the Horsemen and Apocalypse, Quicksilver and the X-mansion, Astral Plane Fight with Apocalypse and Xavier, Wolverine Unleashed, Phoenix

Might wanna spoiler tag the last part as some haven't seen the movie yet

IMO it's the most annoying scene, actually. Not only does it ruin a perfectly tense scene with inappropriate mood whiplash, but its abrupt and hamfisted presence just screams "gimmick".

At first I enjoyed it, but it dragged on for too long, I just couldn't believe it anymore. :s

At first some who haven't seen the movie yet, shouldn't come to a thread like this, because they shouldn't vote if didn't see movie.

No, Jean had the best bit. Although Quicksilver's bit was one of the best bits

I don't know about best but it was certainly fun again.
Would have been better if the comedy wasn't mixed in with the more serious moment though.

No, it was not the best for me, it went on a bit long and stretched believability, though i loved the part where the dog was rescued with its pizza. The kitchen scene in DoFP was tighter.

Favourite parts of XM:A for me were the Ancient Egypt opening scene and the battles when the X-Men arrived in Egypt.

If you look at the big battle scene in the avengers where characters like black widow are jumping about like crazy in some of the more crazy stunts taking down aliens on flying vehicles while the camera follows and hawkeye randomly shoots an arrow and takes one down whole looking in the other direction... then thats probably what the quicksilver sequence is, visually its a cool comic booky impressive sequence

Yes it was just a visual feast in slo-mo, from the moment we saw the bee's wings stop moving.

Jean finally unleashing whats inside of her all this time is the best part of X-Men: Apocalypse ever! She truly let it go!

Definitely not the best, they're really milking that Quicksilver slow-mo tit dry..

Yeah that was by far the best moment of the movie.
I was never a big fan of the Quicksilver scene in DOFP and am not one for the scene in this one either.

We've only seen Quicksilver in two Fox Xmen movies how are the milking him dry? When we see him in 4+ movies doing the slo-mo thing over and over then we can say they are milking it.

it's close, with the dog and all. Also contenders: opening, logan unleashed. Death of the Magneteers, anytime Jean was visible.

It was good to see QS using his powers for a different reason. In DofP it was a race against time trying to intricately set up the scene so the bad guys would be taken out efficiently, there was a much lighter tone to that as what he was doing was silly and you knew that if he didn't finish in time he still would have taken out a majority of the guards and done his job to a very high standard which wouldn't have bothered him. With this it was a different race against time where instead of erring things up he's disrupting a set up and saving people. There's a legitimate danger that if he isn't successful to the highest degree he's failed. If he doesn't finish in time a student/s dies and it will matter more than not finishing quick enough in DofP. It was great for that reason but was ruined by each new room trying to be funny in some way to milk his DofP fame when they could have made it serious and a proper bit of development for the character. I'd also like to know how he knew there was about to be an explosion before it happened.

It's cool but it just feels like they're just repeating what people liked from DOFP (slo-mo scene with music from the era) just to please the fans.

The quicksilver sequence isn't much different for from the nightcrawler sequence in X2, music playing through the action and slow mo shots, it's what singer does best and if a lot of the other characters had similar action it would have been just as good

From visual and technical sides the sequence was outstanding. Story wise, meh... not much.
The death of Havok was blurred and almost put to the background. And I hoped to see his grave at the end at least with Scott and Jean standing in front of it. Yeah, it is kinda X3 vibe but anyway.

Tonally it didn't fit where it had been placed in the movie, and they've made him too OP - it's impossible to believe anyone could ever stop him because he can slow time to such an extent. Was a cool sequence, though.

Apocalypse could and probably Jean can do it :D

I thought it was awesome, but I would have liked it better if it wasn't directly followed by [BLACKOUT]the realization that Havok died[/BLACKOUT].
