Yet you've wasted precious time here talking about it. Spend your time more wisely and argue about Goku like a real man.

"Dignified"? That's easy. How about IMMORTAL IRON FIST? No problem with that one. Rand had some hype from his stint as DD, full page ads in comics, articles in WIZARD and Newsarama, and an A-List creative team of the red-hot Brubaker and Aja, as well as Fraction and others for flashbacks. That's just off the top of my head. Basically, any marketting ploy that doesn't have a counsel of people outright LYING, I don't mean "spin" or manipulation but a bold faced, straight up lie, is better. And like I have kept saying, THE SENTRY's hoax was fortunately never repeated, so they learned their lesson.

You don't go to anime. Anime comes to you.

Yes, and its sales are through the roof! Oh wait, they aren't.![]()
You merely asked if I felt there was a "dignified" marketting campaign and I gave a quick, recent example. By your own admission you claim THE SENTRY did "modestly" back in 2000, so you lose your right to bemoan IMMORTAL IRON FIST for selling in the Top 52-65 (and will likely keep diving). You can't change the rules of a point if I make a valid one.
I could name others, just that was the first off my head.
YOUNG AVENGERS was promoted decently and got violently negative reactions, myself included, and then blasted them sky high to be a solid hit. But they were all touted as new characters, not "long lost sidekicks that Stan and John Romita forgot about". Same with MOON KNIGHT (only with better expectations), etc. I could go on and on. I don't hate everything. Sheesh.
THE SENTRY's hoax was fortunately never repeated, so they learned their lesson.
The Iron Fist example sucked, simply because, he wasn't a new character. Young Avengers, well had the name Avengers on it. Thats why it sold. Moon Knight, well every dog has his day.
I find it funny that you think business is dignified and any marketing is moralistic at all. I wish i had such a naive world view as yourself.
I wish Dread would point me to a "dignified" marketing ploy.

What lesson is that exactly? LOL!
I thought it was ON you.![]()
Your as lame as he is powerful.

Keep on arguing, and I'll resolve to not ever read THE SENTRY even if I found it for free in a library. So far I just resolved not to pay a cent to read it, especially since I am not totally interested in Sentry and there are far more trades worth my time.
My opinion has already been overstated and I really don't think anything more can be said.

t:No Sentry is a emo tool.
