When I was reading the discription of the teaser trailer, they made it seem like Silver surfer may be either a bad guy or Neutral...I never followed his story in comics or anything, but will he be good or bad in the movie?

I think he's bad at first but then becomes good. Sorry if I'm wrong guys.:O

In the comics Norin Radd gives himself as a sacrifice to Galactus to save his home planet, where Galactus transforms him into his herald Silver Surfer, to search out planets for Galactus to consume. In agreement for Norin's life of enslavement as a herald, Galactus spares his homeworld. His memory of his homeworld and his love Shala Bal, are erased as the Surfer.

The Surfer just starts out doing his job, finding planets for Galactus to consume. He finds Earth and finds it suitable. In the comics he meets Alicia Masters who rekindles the memories of his homeworld and brings and inner conflict in the Surfer wanting to spare Earth from the fate Galactus brings. So he turns against Galactus helping the FF to save earth. Galactus imprisons him to Earth's galaxy beyond wich he cannot travel.

So he is not bad, he's a threat. Once he realizes what he's doing he turns on his master to help the humans.

From the teaser, he gives the impression of a bad guy.

Hes never been a villain but hes done things that can be seen as bad by helping Galactus.

Good To Know, Thanks :cwink:

Potential spoilers based on the comics:

It is of course after the Surfer rebels against Galactus, that the Surfer is exiled to Earth where he receives a royal summons from Doctor Doom to be invited to Latveria and have Doom give him the grand tour. It is at this point that Doom shows his plan and drains the Surfer completely of his Power Cosmic, thus granting Doom the power of a god (at least in his eyes) and begins to conquer the world and show that accursed Richards who is truly superior.

I think the surfer will bad for most of the movie and will learn to accept whats the point in helping galactus and at the end he will join forces to help the FF against galactus who found out that the surfer has betrayed him. Am I right or am I wrong? Anyone?
