Is 'simulated rape porn' to be banned in the UK?

This is all fine and dandy but... What about the zombie porn??!??!

All they do in that is drool over brains and shuffle around aimlessly.

I think that as long as the porn in question is simulated and no one in the videos are being harmed then I am good with that. Whether I find it personally appealing is another thing entirely...

But what I definitely want to see is things put into place that make it pretty much impossible for minors to be able to access any pornographic content on the Internet.

However, this is something which is the responsibility of parents to understand how to enable blocking of inappropriate content on their broadband routers.
The tools are already there. Learn how to use them or get someone in that can set it up for you.
It is not the sole responsibility of ISP's and Government to protect our children...
As a parent, you have the major stake in protecting your kids.

I think above all else it is a parent's responsibility to monitor their own children's habits. The government and society already have enough problems to deal with on top of having to babysit your children because you can't be bothered to learn basic security or content censoring on your computer.

If your kid is watching porn or bullying other children online, you need to deal with it, not deny it was them or blame everyone else for letting your kid access hardcore porn because you were too busy doing something that doesn't involve keeping your kids out of trouble.

That's usually the audience, and it isn't the brains they drool over. :o

It is entirely the responsibility of the parents.

The strange thing is that there are a lot of parents out there that don't think it is...

Weird. I don't even begin to understand that kind of reasoning.

Because some parents are lazy, and much like TV before it, want the computer to be the babysitter. The only difference is the babysitter this time doesn't have a filter, or at least not one that is secure - so they ***** that ISP's are to blame for what their children do on the internet.

Something that might be an interesting idea to try is: If it transpired that children accessed pornography on a computer in the home, that the parents are fined, let's say £1000 for allowing it to happen.

Perhaps that might make the rest of them take notice after a couple of prosecutions?

Because, let's be honest, the only way to really make people take notice is to threaten hitting them heavily in their pocket, right?

the problem with that is how do you enforce it and how do you prove a child is the one who accessed it.

it brings up a whole mess of problems such as invasion of privacy etc

Is there some pandemic of kids watching adult content I'm not aware of? Before I hit puberty, I wouldn't even want to look at that stuff if you put it in front of me.

To me this is like flag burning legislation.
