Too much effort? You're just mad at the Wii because you're lazy.

That's what I JUST said. The Wii takes the lazy zoning out aspect of video games, and makes them interactive and ****.

It's annoying that I have to actually move my hands around, as opposed to just having a controller under a blanket and doing **** from there while I'm half asleep.

Once you play it?

I've had a Wii since almost day one. I've played quite a many games on it. But still, it requires way to much effort than I'd like to put into playing a video game.

How so? The best games I have played haven't required much movement at all. Zelda, for example, doesn't require you to swing like they do in the commercials. Super Paper Mario doesn't make you move. Metroid is like Zelda, not too much movement. Same with Res Evil 4.

Fad

I have no desire to learn how to use a new type of controller.
Games are more fun when I don't have to think about what my hands are doing. (imho)

Haha, when you don't have to think about what your hands are doing?
So do you use game controllers much?
Because when I do, I seem to think about where my fingers go during gameplay.

No, its not. Its for people who like solid gameplay. I would take a mario game over any FPS any day of the week.

Metroid? Zelda? Mario? Smash? What the hell are your sort of killer apps, because these are amazing games!

yeah the wii is fad.

and after those games are released whats next? nothing.lmao

It's comments like this that are completely ignorant.

That's like saying after FFXIII and MGS4, the PS3 will have nothing. Nintendo is renouned for holding their projects very close to their chests, and who knows what they have coming up. As of right now, their focus is on the big holiday releases, so we have no clue as to what is next other than Mario Kart Wii.

I'm not saying that there are some things Nintendo should have done differently, because there are. But there are things that Microsoft and Sony should have done differently also.

Nintendo: Should have upped the graphical power some to appease the hardcore audience.

Microsoft: Should have made sure to re-enforce their console some so that it had less hardware failures.

Sony: Should have made sure to not put so much stock in PR BS and unproven formats so that the price wasn't so steep. This would have secured some major third parties that they have since lost.

But with the bad things of each console there are some major plus' that each one brings to the table. If you don't like the Wii, that is fine. But some of the ignorant comments that get thrown around here are just ludicrous. :o :down

I got a Wii on launch night and recently bought a 360, and I'm happy I did it. Love my Wii for RE4, Zelda, DBZ (never would have bought it on a regular system but on the Wii it ****ing rocks), and Metroid and more. Love my 360 for Bio-Shock, Halo, and comic book related games.

I think 360 and Wii is the way to go. At least both have games worth playing, unlike a certain other console.

I dont think that most people that get a Wii will only own a Wii bc its so different from the rest and you arent going to find alot of traditional games on it bc of that. I think Wii owners will eventually own a 360 or PS3 if they already dont. I dont see it as being the sole console for most people whereas I can for the 360 and PS3

Oh yeah I know the Wii for me is not as good as the PS3 but right now I am planning on having a Wii then I will get a PS3.

That's Nintendo's plan. To make sure everyone that owns a PS3 and 360 gets a Wii as well. That means they are in twice as many homes. It's called business plans.

As of now the Wii is the only console with games I actually want to play. It has Zelda, Metroid, and soon to have Mario and Super Smash brothers. The 360 and PS3 have nothing to offer me (Im not a Halo fan). I do plan on getting a 360 once better games come out like Resident Evil 5, Silent hill 5, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD. These games are coming to the PS3 as well but it is out of my price range. Other than that the PS3 has nothing for me.

Well yeah I think right now the Wii is worth it for the games that are out right now. But give it a year or two and I will jump ship lol

lol I would rather not have to jump ship. If they port those games to Wii with lesser graphics I would have no need for a 360. I would rather play Resident Evil 5 on the Wii because of the better control scheme.

I was using the Wii more than my 360 for quite a while, playing Metroid and Paper Mario, then I got Guitar Hero for the 360 and things have changed, pretty addicted to Guitar Hero now, but I'm suire I'll get back to the Wii, before long. Actually need to start playing Bio-Shock, got it 2-3 weeks ago and haven't even played it once yet.

Yeah, finally played all the way through a Resident Evil game when I played 4 on the Wii because of the control scheme.

I don't see how someone can say their arms get tired from 10 minutes with the Wii when they can move a mouse and *********e for twice that time.

I wish that the games that are coming out for PS3/360 would come out on the Wii...

nah I meant the other way around. Not everyone that owns a PS3 or 360 will want or get a Wii, but I think most people that own a Wii will get a PS3 or 360. Does that make more sense?

Well yeah if you have a PS3 or 360 why work backwards and get a Wii.

I am getting a Wii first and when the PS3 takes off with the better games and the price drops then whammy I will get a PS3.

Actually that probably won't happen because the Wii is appealing to a larger amount of people, while PS3 360 appeals mainly to "hard-core gamers".
