BvS It's always Darkest before The Dawn... Chris Terrio IS the Script Writer

Maybe not write by himself, but I do think it's possible that he'll be the first to direct/star in a Batman movie. I mean, one would think that it crossed his mind at least once as a possible incentive to take the role.

But yeah, logistically it'd be pretty hard to direct from behind the cowl when you can't hear anything. :funny:

You know I never thought of that, but it seriously would be an absolute pain for Affleck to direct scenes with Batman if he was dressed in a Batman costume. A director has to be able to have full awareness of the set space and the camera's line of vision which is alot harder when you're wearing a big rubber cowl.

He's also writing Sandman now.

It was never said Goyer was writing any script for Sandman. Only that he pitched an idea and will produce.

Dammit, with news like Phoenix and now this, I might actually get sucked up in the hype again!

And I so wanted to keep a level head about this one... :D

I doubt he was literally signed today and is just now getting to work on it.

A lot of these deals happen weeks before any sort of announcement is made. I'd wager he's been working on it for some time.

With them saying it now, I assume he's just mostly working on dialogue since the general plot, especially the action scenes will have to have been pretty much set by this time.

I haven't seen Argo, but I'm very happy an acclaimed writer has been brought in to help write the script.

Exactly. Terrio's been typing away for a month now.

I doubt Affleck will write, direct, and star in a solo Batman movie, lol. That's way too much for one man to handle. It's a huge WB project. There's no way.

How? He wrote, directed, and starred in other films. He's WB golden boy.

Yeah he's basically their new Clint Eastwood. They'll let him do pretty much whatever he wants.

Terrio is gonna be good. And don't forget Goyer is still there. Two minds are greater than one. Maybe Affleck with also contribute.

Let's just put it this way.

If Affleck wants Batman, it's his.

Aww, poor Goyer. He does have good things to contribute.

Hard not to be excited about this. Not because Goyer needs his hands held, or any of that hyperbolic nonsense, but come on, the screenwriter of ARGO on a superhero film.

This just entered "possible best superhero film ever" territory.

Well, I'm sure he'll star as Batman for the next three or so films. He probably signed an air-tight contract... Which is pretty cool. We have a solid, confirmed Batman for possibly the next 10 years. :word: WB probably wanted their Robert Downey Jr., and Affleck is it (Downey was in 5 Marvel movies and counting).

Writing and directing, though? I would believe that he would write a Batman movie before directing it. The $200 million blockbuster isn't his thing. He did Argo, Gone Baby Gone, The Town, wrote Good Will Hunting (and won the Oscar for writing). I don't know. I could see him being an AMAZING writing collaborator with a director like Guillermo Del Toro. That would be so perfect.

OMG. It did, didn't it? And I hate saying stuff like that because the hype gets out of control.

But the team on this movie...damn, son.

Goyer's story with polished dialoge???? GLOORY!!! :applaud:highfive::hrt:

Maybe he means they should get rid of Snyder and Terrio's inclusion means they got rid of Goyer. They didn't though. He's still there. And I want Snyder to stay. His eye for visuals and action scenes is still needed.

This is great news. As others have said all ready, Goyer is a great idea guy, but is lacking a bit in writing dialogue. Great move by WB.

Lol replace Snyder my arse, this film needs a visualist like him for sure. Look at Nolans Batman films great films but Nolan never quite nailed the action/fight scenes.
