Nope, the audience is not wrong.
I am constantly amused by the anti-Nolan revisionist historians constantly claiming on these boards that TDKT is not great, particularly when it comes from marvel fans.
These movies were in fact solid and well loved by public and critics alike. The second one was not just good, but shockingly good.
As evidence of their greatness, ill point out that several directors have tried to copy Nolan, and all have failed.
I like both because i like good stories and both companies are capable of creating good stories. Because i understand that Marvel and DC don't actually give a **** about me or you, they just want our money. Showing loyalty to corporations is beyond insane in my view.
This article has Jeremy Irons claiming the script still isn't finished. Is this normal, so late in production? Perhaps its just tweaks they're working on?

Honestly, I've said this before and I'll say this again....no matter how "great" Chris is as a writer, if the story that Goyer and Snyder came up with still leaves much to be desired, then I doubt that there's much that Chris could do to make it better.

I used to always read on here "Goyer is a great idea man, he just needs help with his scripts". Is that not the case anymore?

Do you guys think it is merely a contribution or a takeover?
Honestly? I don't know. But I hope Terrio's contributions are significant. I hope he writes most of the dialogue at least.
Chris Terrio is currently writing the script from a screenplay by David S. Goyer.
From the Eisenberg/Irons press release:
Chris Terrio is currently writing the script from a screenplay by David S. Goyer.
Sounds pretty significant to me.
While this is good news may i remind everyone here that the infamous Batman & Robin was also written by a screenwriter (Akiva goldsman) who won an Oscar for best adapted screenplay (A Beautiful Mind), so i do have my doubts on this but nevertheless this is still awesome news!

I don't know if you read a few of Affleck's interviews about BVS, but he mentioned that "Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script". Which leads me to believe he completely overhauled Goyer's script.
Now, depending on WGA arbitration, Goyer may get a writing credit (aside from story) alongside Terrio -- no matter how much or how little of Goyer's script was used during shooting. If the credits read "Screenplay by Chris Terrio and David Goyer", we shouldn't worry about that too much. (Let's complain or rave about the script after the movie comes out.)
From what I've heard, Goyer will probably retain a story credit. But the script itself was basically a page 1 re-write for Terrio. And because of the re-write being so significant, it was the main force behind the initial release date change.
