At least they didn't white Wong, amirght t:
you're not wong
Haha oh no I'm really sad now
Well... We have the level of the thread now.
My favorite quote is in the comments section for this article:
There's also a quote about B.D. Wong playing Strange in Gotham.
This is random and is in no way related to the movie but Lego marvel avengers just released some doctor strange dlc and they left out Wong for some reason. What gives? You would think he was an xmen character.
They mentioned him off screen but didn't show him
Probably because they wanted characters who had powers (explains Voodoo, Clea, Mordo, Jennifer Kale and Dormammu). The Mindless One warrior was probably just thrown in just because it wouldn't take as much effort to rehash a henchman character. Night Nurse is obviously a tie-in for the movie as she'll play a big role. Wong wouldn't have much to offer because he's pretty much a generic fighter character.
I don't think it's anything to worry about though. After all, Captain Marvel's pack included characters like Tic and Poundcakes over more important characters realted to Carol.
They could have easily chucked a skin on iron fist and gotten away with it. Oh well
So Wong will be a bit of a drill sergeant in this. That's good. So much better than him being a manservant.
They ought to fix that up in the comics too
A manservant would've been wong, but I don't know if being a drill sergeant is right. And no martial arts is wong.
In other media
# Wong figured prominently in the 1978 made-for-TV movie/series pilot Dr. Strange, played by Clyde Kusatsu.
# Wong appeared alongside Doctor Strange in the 1990s Spider-Man animated series voiced by George Takei. Wong wielded twin swords that were mystically enhanced.
# Wong has made cameo appearances in The Super Hero Squad Show.
# Wong is a master sorcerer and Strange's mentor in Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme voiced by Paul Nakauchi. This version of Wong has a full head of (grey) hair.
# Wong will appear in the upcoming 2016 Doctor Strange film, portrayed by Benedict Wong.
* Wong appeared as a non-playable character in the game Marvel: Ultimate Alliance voiced by Michael Hagiwara. He is seen in the Sanctum Sanctorum and even requests for the heroes to find the Eye of the Shadow Queen in Mephisto's Realm. He has special dialogue with Doctor Strange.
Note- in the comics now.
Magical teleportation; manual walking

Every time you make a pun about the marvel universe Stan Lee cries blood.
For god's sake, cool it with the copypasting lists.
At least it stopped those ****ing puns. I was about to virtually stab someone in the eye.
If Dr Strange is Marvel's first flop, there will be a thread titled "What went Wong with Dr Strange?"
People are hating for all the Wong reasons
Apparently they almost left Wong out of the movie.
Not surprising, given how late he was cast. There are only two real viable roles for Wong (the traditional comics role is not one of them). One of those roles would basically be Mordo's role. They went with probably the best option left.
Feige talks about him some more.
I hope Wong and Strange do grow close in the movies and become buddies. Wong should take Mordo's place when Mordo inevitably turns on him.
I really thought Wong stole the show with this. Benedict was such a great choice and he did so much with not a whole lot of screen time.
Can't wait to see him pop up in infinity wars
My feeling is all the Mordo parts should've gone to Wong, and the Kaecilius parts should've gone to Mordo. That way, Wong has a more robust role and you have a better chance of having a good villain.
This man makes sense.
I was incredibly impressed with Wong. I thought he was the second best thing about the movie besides Strange
I think that would have been a disservice to Mordo, who is a more important character on the whole. Then they would be left with no clear direction after this movie, instead of now when we have something interesting developing for the next solo movie.
But I do agree that Wong was really good. He could probably have the screen time that the Ancient One had when we get to the next one.
