it's official batman has a son.

Giving him a son doesnt make him less gay, it just makes him gay with a kid.

Right, like that guy Jake from Will and Grace, he's got a son.

I'm still giving that title to Green Arrow.

what if its not "why cant i be robin?"
what if its "why cant you just be my dad? why do you have to be batman?"

God, that sounds so lame.

why? batman has faced down some of the greatest threats the world has ever seen... and he hasnt blinked... how would he handle a child who desperately wants him to be a father to him? how does he save his world?

Tonight on General Hospital.

hahahah ill give you that one...
but what the hell is he supposed to do? the sole purpose he wakes up in the morning is to be batman... he really hasnt been faced with a good enough reason to give that up yet (and im not saying he should)
what happens when he has a walking talking reason to pack it all up? does he do it? how does he rearrange his life to fit this new puzzle piece? i dont want either kid to be part of the "bat family" (atleast not this decade) but adding some supporting characters that dont don a mask or hang out in grimey alleys could add some depth...

Stop being emo.

I gotta agree with much of what Mr. sethcohen says here :o

Well using that logic. Well a story about Dick grayson being a Male model hasnt been told it should be great.

using what logic? they havent done a story about bruce being a male model either... so it should be great too right? wrong... im not saying just because a story hasnt been told that it will automatically be great... hey, this thing with his kid(s) could very well suck and ill admit that... but it could also be great if executed correctly and thoughtfully...

Its been funny though.

neither am i... it just drags down a potentially interesting story with jason todd... the execution of the idea of JT impersonating DG is horrible... the idea itself could have been brilliant...

The crappiness of Nightwing's solo book has brought nations together.

I am over looking this whole Nightwing thing because I just think they were unprepared because Dick was suppose to die not Conner. But then they remembered the rule that a member of the Superman family always has to die in a crisis.

i cant believe the NW model story ever looked good on paper... he doesnt need to work anyway! WTF?! he is heir to one of the largest if not the largest financial empire in the DCU... im sure he has some trust funds and accounts bruce set up for him...

Thats the thing. Dick doesnt want handouts, he wants to earn money himself.

this is true... but until he gets settled in and gets a REAL job why wouldnt he tap into those resources?

you know, if you ignore the male model crap and just focus on the story with the twin mobsters, the creepy monster old man and the JT/DG back and forth, its ok... not great, but bearable...

I love this idea.

Thank you DC and Morrison.

Even if this story is well executed, I have a feeling the son will eventually be done away with in some way. Maintream superhero writers have a severe fear of non-sidekick children. Cyclops had his son for about a week, before he abandoned it. Spider-Man's kid was killed in the womb. Flash disappeared five minutes after the twins were born. Spoiler gave her kid up for adoption. Donna Troy's kids were killed off-panel.

Who says they are going to get along?

Just because he is a father doesn't mean the son is going to accept his Batman legacy, hell, he has closer ties to Ra's lagacy seeing as he has been brought up by Talia and not Bruce.
