Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_001.jpg

You won’t only find Ultra Beasts in the worlds that lie beyond an Ultra Wormhole. You can even encounter Legendary Pokemon, such as Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Lugia, and others. In fact, all the Legendary Pokemon of yore will appear in the worlds you explore in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon! Get them on your team!

Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_002.jpg
Some of the Legendary Pokemon that you can encounter differ, depending on which game you’re playing. By exploring both Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, you can encounter and catch all the Legendary Pokemon that appeared in previous Pokemon series games.

Legendary Pokemon Can Change Forms, Too!

Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_003.jpg

Some Pokemon can temporarily release the power hidden within to change their appearances and stats through various phenomena, triggering Mega Evolution and unleashing power that could never be gained by normal Evolution, or undergoing Primal Reversion to waken the true power they held in ancient times.

Special Legendary Encounters

Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_004.jpg

Most of the Legendary Pokemon that you can encounter await you in the worlds beyond Ultra Wormholes, but some Legendary Pokemon can be encountered when you fulfill special conditions. For example, you can encounter Giratina if you have both Dialga, which can be encountered in Pokemon Ultra Sun,and Palkia, which can be encountered in Pokemon Ultra Moon,as allies.

Version-Exclusive Legendaries

The following Pokemon appear in Pokemon Ultra Sun only: Ho-Oh, Raikou, Groudon, Latios, Dialga, Heatran, Reshiram, Tornadus, Xerneas.

These Pokemon will appear only when specific Pokemon are in your party:

Team Rainbow Rocket Takes the Stage! Past Bosses Appear en Masse!
Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_008.jpg

In Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, the greatest villainous organization in history appears! It’s Team Rainbow Rocket—made up of the bosses from past titles in the Pokemon series!

The boss of Team Rainbow Rocket is none other than Giovanni, who was also the boss of the villainous organization known as Team Rocket in Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue, the first games in the Pokemon series.
But that’s not the worst of it—Giovanni has gathered into one group the bosses from the various past games in the Pokemon series! You and your allies will have to square off against what might be your greatest challenge yet!
What in the world could Giovanni and his allies be after, appearing in the Alola region so suddenly…?

Team Rocket Boss Giovanni!

Giovanni is the boss of Team Rocket, which made its debut in Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue.He schemes to commit many evil deeds using the Pokemon of the world. While he’s the boss of Team Rocket, he was also the Gym Leader of the Viridian City Gym, and he stood in the hero’s way countless times.

Team Magma Boss Maxie!

Maxie is the boss of Team Magma, an villainous organization that appeared in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. He schemed to use the power of the Legendary Pokemon Groudon to dry up the seas and expand the lands, with the goal of increasing the space available to be used by those living on the land. He seems calm and collected, but he is ruthless—he will show no mercy to those who stand in his way.

Team Aqua Boss Archie!

Archie is the boss of Team Aqua, an villainous organization that appeared in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. He tried to bring great rains down upon the land, borrowing the power of the Legendary Pokemon Kyogre in his hopes of expanding the sea, which is the source of all life. While he brims with empathy in his attempts to restore nature for the sake of Pokemon, he will use force to overwhelm anyone who’s in the way of his realizing his ideal world.

Team Galactic Boss Cyrus

Cyrus is the boss of Team Galactic, the villainous organization that appeared in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl.Believing that the human heart is imperfect, Cyrus held a desire to use the power of the Legendary Pokemon Dialga or Palkia to erase the current world and create a perfect new world. He always conducts himself in a cool and logical way, and he is greatly trusted by his subordinates in Team Galactic.

Team Plasma Boss Ghetsis!

Ghetsis is the boss of Team Plasma, the villainous organization that appeared in Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. He planned to use the powers of the Legendary Pokemon Reshiram or Zekrom—as well as a boy called N, who is able to understand the hearts of Pokemon—to realize his desire that only his team should have Pokemon and should rule over all those without Pokemon. He speaks politely and acts like a gentleman, but he also shows glimpses of a cruel side—treating N, a boy he raised as if N were his own son, like a monster.

Team Flare Boss Lysandre!
Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_014.jpg

Lysandre is the boss of Team Flare, the villainous organization that appeared in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.He is, by nature, a man of deep sympathies—but he has been driven to despair by watching humans fighting and struggling against one another, and he comes to believe that the only way for people to live in beauty, without strife or struggle, is by reducing the number of people living in the world. He restored the ultimate weapon, which had been sealed away 3,000 years earlier, and then, using the power of the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas or Yveltal, he attempted to eradicate life.

? Cool Features
A New Battle Facility: The Battle Agency
Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_015.png

The Battle Agency is a new facility where you can enjoy battling by easily renting powerful Pokemon.
When you don your sunglasses and become an “agent” at this facility, you can take part in Single Battles using rental Pokemon. You’ll have three such Pokemon to command as you try to defeat the three Pokemon in your opponent’s team. Try to win your way to being the best of all the agents!

The Pokemon you can rent for these battles will increase as you mingle with other players around you or over the internet. Connect with formidable players, and you’ll be able to rent powerful Pokemon. So communicate with lots of other players, choose the Pokemon you like best from those available to rent, and aim to become the top agent!

Collect Totem Stickers!

Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Ultra-Moon_11-02-17_017.jpg

With Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, you’ll be able to collect stickers called Totem Stickers all around Alola. Totem Stickers glitter and shine in the field.

If you collect these Totem Stickers, you’ll be able to get a huge totem-like Pokemon for your team, based on how many stickers you’ve collected. It’ll surely shock your opponents to see you using these oversized totem-like Pokemon in battle!

The totem-like Pokemon that you can get as allies can differ based on whether you’re playing Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon Ultra Moon. For example, you can get Lurantis as an ally in Pokemon Ultra Sun or Salazzle in Pokemon Ultra Moon.Search every corner of the Alola region and collect masses of Totem Stickers!

Get Pokemon Info with the QR Scanner

Use the QR Scanner, one of the functions of the Rotom Dex, to scan in QR Code patterns that you find around you. The Pokemon corresponding to each QR Code will be displayed, and you’ll be able to see some of the information about that Pokemon.

Find Rare Pokemon with Island Scan!

When you scan in QR Code patterns with the QR Scanner, your Rotom Dex will store up points. Once you have 100 points, you’ll be able to use the Rotom Dex’s Island Scan function. Then you can use Island Scan to scan the island you’re currently on and find rare Pokemon you would normally never encounter in the Alola region.
In Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, you’ll be able to encounter Pokemon that didn’t appear in Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon, such as Charmander, Grovyle, Greninja, and others.
Keep on finding more and more rare Pokemon with Island Scan!
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will launch worldwide for 3DS on November 17.

"Let's Snuggle Forever!"
Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-Moon-Mimikyu_11-10-17.jpg

The Pokemon Company has released new details, video, and screenshots of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moondetailing the Pokemon Mimikyu’s exclusive Z-Move.
Get the details below.
Mimikyu’s exclusive Z-Move is called Let’s Snuggle Forever! Mimikyu will be able to use this Fairy-type Z-Move if it knows the move Play Rough and is given a piece of the exclusive Z-Crystal Mimikium Z to hold.

Up until now, Mimikyu’s Play Rough could be powered up into the Z-Move Twinkle Tackle if Mimikyu was holding a piece of Fairium Z. Twinkle Tackle was a powerful Z-Move in its own right. But the Let’s Snuggle Forever Z-Move that can be unleashed in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, thanks to the addition of the new Mimikium Z, is a hugely powerful move that outshines even Twinkle Tackle. Don’t let its cute appearance fool you!
When Mimikyu’s wishes are in sync with its Trainer’s, it comes up behind its target, enveloping it in the cloth that it wears. Then it uses its full power to show its opponent a little “tough love.”

Have Mimikyu hold a piece of Mimikium Z and use this new exclusive Z-Move to show your rivals that you’re on a different level!

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will launch worldwide for 3DS on November 17.

More of the mysterious Pokemon Necrozma will soon be uncovered, as a new image of Necrozma enveloped in bright light has been revealed. What kind of secret does Necrozma hold? All will become clear throughout players’ adventures across Alola!

Pokemon-Ultra-Sun-and-Ultra-Moon_2017_11-14-17_002.jpg

In Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon, players will be able to teach their Pokemon moves in exchange for Battle Points (BP)—moves that they would not be able to learn by leveling up or through any Technical Machine (TM). Players can earn BP by winning battles in the Alola region’s battle facilities, such as the Battle Royal Dome and the Battle Tree, or by using Mantine Surf from various beaches. Players can teach moves to the Pokemon that travel with them on their journey or even to the Legendary Pokemon that they catch passing through the Ultra Wormhole.

I watched a shiny hunt Twitch stream last week, and it got me in the mood to get some shinies.

First I got a shiny, jolly, 5IV Buneary via SOS, after about 60 encounters. I miss out on fake out because of egg moves, but glad to have a shiny mega Lopunny in my team now.

Second one made me even happier. Once I saw the buffs to Bellosum in Ultra Sun, I wanted one. Took forever with 350 + egg hatches (Rotohatch, and Oval charm helped a lot), but I got her. A shiny, modest, strength sap, quiver dance, giga drain Bellosum. I'm leveling Bellosum now via elite 4, using roto exp, and a lucky egg. She's tearing up elite 4 Pokemon 20 levels higher than her. So far battles have been going, quiver dance, strength sap to full hp, quiver dance, quiver dance, strength sap, then sweep.

Detective Pikachu announced for 3DS, launches worldwide on March 23

Published 17 hours ago. 32 comments.

He's not just a detective, he's a great detective!

Detective-Pikachu_01-12-18.jpg

The Pokémon Company has announced Detective Pikachu, an action-adventure title that significantly adds to the scenario of the 2016 Japan-exclusive Nintendo eShop release Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo, for 3DS. It will launch both physically and digitally in North America, Europe, and Japan on March 23.

A 13.6cm tall Detective Pikachu Amiibo will be released alongside the game. When used with the game, it can unlock short videos that may contain helpful hints for your investigation.

Detective-Pikachu_01-12-18_amiibo.jpg

While the game will normally cost 4,980 yen in Japan, users who own Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo will be able to purchase the digital version of Detective Pikachu for 3,878 yen. Early purchases of the physical version in Japan will include a Detective Pikachu key chain.

In Detective Pikachu, players take on the role of Detective Pikachu, alongside human detective and unlikely partner Tim Goodman. Because Detective Pikachu is a unique Pikachu in the Pokémon world, Tim and Detective Pikachu are able to communicate with one another, and do so to investigate the cryptic disappearance of Tim’s father.
Here is an overview of the game, via The Pokémon Company:
An action-adventure title, Detective Pikachu finds the hero of the title – a unique Pikachu in the Pokémon world – partnering with Tim Goodman and searching for evidence and clues to solve a series of cases, while also investigating the disappearance of Tim’s father, Harry Goodman.
When he arrives in Ryme City looking for his missing father, little does Tim know he would meet a Pikachu, but more amazingly a Pikachu who he could communicate with. There’s more to this Pikachu than a detective hat – he’s one lovably gruff, tough-talking sleuth, with a taste for good coffee.
This Pikachu claims that he worked with Tim’s father, and the two pair up to discover his whereabouts. Together, Tim and Detective Pikachu will encounter a number of mysteries in Ryme City and will need to talk to witnesses and gather their testimony in order to discover the truth. Cases that would be impossible for Tim to solve alone can be cracked with the help of this Pikachu, because he is able to obtain vital clues and information from other Pokémon.
Detective Pikachu includes all the chapters of the 2016 Japan-exclusive Nintendo eShop release, Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo, but adds further content that completes the story. The game features new locations to explore, as well as a colorful cast of both Pokémon and human characters.
For those players who are new to sleuthing and may need some help in uncovering the evidence, Detective Pikachu features an Easy Mode, where the title character will provide handy hints on what to do or where to go next.
A special Detective Pikachu amiibo is also planned for when the game launches. It’s larger than a regular amiibo, and it allows players to view all the Pika Prompts (short video clips) from chapters they have completed, including ones they missed finding earlier. These clips feature Pikachu’s quips and antics – and may even contain a hint.

Rumored leaks about the Switch starters are starting to propagate the internet.

I hope they do something different with the game play for Swtich. They have a lot more hardware to work with, and a chance to do something really different.

Careful. It could involve motion controls.

I've never had a problem with motion controls. Even in Skyward Sword, where people complained about them the most. So that's fine with me.

I could see HD Rumble being implemented in how you capture a Pokémon.

Also the pics of these alleged starters:
