The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have released a new video, information, and screenshots for Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!introducing Master Trainers.

Get the details below.

Master Trainers

Once you become the Pokemon League Champion, your journey is far from over! After earning that coveted title, you will find new special Trainers scattered throughout the Kanto region. These are the Master Trainers, and each of them is considered the strongest Trainer for a specific Pokemon. That’s right—there’s a Master Trainer for every Pokemon in the Kanto region!

Master Trainers are always thinking about their favorite Pokemon, so you can spot them at a glance. The icon of the Pokémon they favor is displayed above their heads, and the color of their attire is different than other Trainers, too.

Some Master Trainers will have a simple request for you, but most of them will want to battle! The only catch is that they will only battle against the species of Pokemon they love. You’ll need to train up each of your Pokemon to take on these tough challengers. Because these Master Trainer battles are true tests of you and your Pokemon’s strength, neither you nor the Master Trainer will be able to use items during the match.

Best the Master Trainers in battle to earn their title, proving that you’re also a master of their favorite species. The titles you’ve earned can even be displayed in-game during Link Battles so that your friends can admire your skills. Show what a devoted Trainer you are by challenging all the Master Trainers!

The first Mythical Pokemon with the ability to evolve.
The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have released a new video, information, and screenshots for Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!introducing Meltan (2) evolution Melmetal.

We have now discovered that Meltan can evolve. Its Evolution is called Melmetal! This is the first Mythical Pokemon with the ability to evolve.

  • Name: Melmetal
  • Category: Hex Nut Pokemon
  • Type: Steel
  • Height: 8’02”
  • Weight: 1,763.7 lbs.
This is the first time that Melmetal has been seen in 3,000 years! In ancient times, this Pokemon was worshiped for its power to create metal.

—When Meltan evolves into Melmetal, it grows vastly stronger than before. Its body hardens as a result of its Evolution, and it becomes incredibly sturdy.

—The bulk of its body is made of liquid metal. Its arms in particular are very flexible, and they can whip forward to deliver devastating punches.

Melmetal’s Powerful Double Iron Bash

Melmetal possesses a unique Steel-type physical move called Double Iron Bash. With this powerful move, Melmetal uses the hex nut in its chest like an axle to spin its powerful arms around, dealing a double strike to the opponent. The weight of the heavy hex nuts on its arms combined with this spinning motion give this move extraordinary power. After it hits, it may even make the target flinch!

Evolving Meltan into Melmetal

—It has become clear that Meltan will only evolve into Melmetal in Pokemon GO. To evolve it, you will need 400 Meltan Candies.

Pokemon-Lets-Go-Pikachu-and-Lets-Go-Eevee_2018_10-24-18_009.jpg

—Just as with the Candies you collect for other Pokemon, you’ll be able to get Meltan Candies by doing things like catching Meltan, sending it to Professor Willow, or having Meltan travel around with you as your Buddy Pokemon.

—You’ll also get these Candies when you send Meltan from Pokemon GO to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Plus, you’ll also be able to use some other handy shortcuts to speed up this Evolution, such as getting more Meltan Candies by trading with friends or using Rare Candies to help you along the way.

—You can bring Melmetal you’ve evolved in Pokemon GO to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! You can also have friends send them to you from their Pokemon GO accounts. Have fun exploring the Kanto region together with Melmetal!

Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie debut trailer
Published 20 hours ago. 71 comments.
First look at Pokemon's live-action debut.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for the Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie starring Ryan Reynolds. It will arrive in theaters on May 10, 2019.

Here is an overview of the movie, via its official website:

The world of Pokemon comes to life!

The first-ever live-action Pokemonadventure, Pokemon Detective Pikachu stars Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, the iconic face of the global Pokemon—one of the world’s most popular, multi-generation entertainment properties and the most successful media franchise of all time.

Fans everywhere can now experience Pikachu on the big screen as never before, as Detective Pikachu, a Pokemon like no other. The film also showcases a wide array of beloved Pokemon characters, each with its own unique abilities and personality.

The story begins when ace private eye Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son Tim to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokemon partner, Detective Pikachu, a hilariously wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth who is a puzzlement event to himself. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to communicate with one another, Tim and Pikachu join forces on a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery. Chasing clues together through the neon-lit streets of Ryme City—a sprawling, modern metropolis where humans and Pokemon live side-by-side in a hyper-realistic live-action world—they encounter a diverse cast of Pokemon characters and uncover a shocking plot that could destroy this peaceful co-existence and threaten the whole Pokemon universe.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu also stars Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as Tim; Kathryn Newton (Lady Bird, TV’s Big Little Lies) as Lucy, a junior reporter following her first big story; and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (Godzilla, The Last Samurai) as Lt. Yoshida.

Directed by Rob Letterman (Goosebumps, Monsters Vs. Aliens), the Pokemon Detective Pikachu creative film-making team includes two-time Oscar nominated director of photography John Mathieson (The Phantom of the Opera, Gladiator), production designer Nigel Phelps (Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Men Tell No Lies), and Oscar-winning editor Mark Sanger (Gravity). Visual effects are by Moving Picture Company (Wonder Woman) and Framestore (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

Launched in 1996 to overwhelming response, the Pokemon brand is a global sensation that now encompasses a robust video gaming fandom with over 300 million units sold worldwide; trading card games available in 11 languages with more than 23.6 billion cards purchased; an anime television series in its 20th season that is available in 98 countries; and animated films that have grossed more than $700 million at the box office; as well as books, manga comics, music, toys, merchandise, and apps, including the wildly popular Pokemon GO, that has been downloaded over 650 million times and is enjoyed across the globe by fans of all ages.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu is set for release on Friday, May 10, 2019.

The film will be distributed outside of Japan and China by Warner Bros. Pictures, in Japan by Toho Company, Ltd., and by Legendary East in China.

Sweet Jeezus! Eevee and Pikachu are OP in these games.

How are they playing, are they fun?

They have perfect EVs and IVs with beneficial natures. They're game breaking. Also the report about the gym requirements being optional was false. They're not all about type advantage. I do like some of the team changes for the gym leaders. (Sabrina, Blaine, Misty, Koga and Erika).

Looks like Pokemon still makes $$$. 3 million copies sold in its first weekend. Should be interesting to see what the next gen one does.

It will beat Odyssey as Nintendo's highest selling and fastest selling Switch title.

I mean, was there much doubt? This is still Pokemon.

But it's pandering to the casuals. :o

It is though.

So I pretty much recreated my old team from LeafGreen with the exception of Meowth (I always considered him my partner Pokémon).

Pikachu
Venusaur
Arcanine
Poliwrath
Butterfree
Dragonite

I'm debating on replacing Butterfree with a Snorlax I have on reserve.

Can u transfer your mons from the pokebank?

To transfer from the GBA games to PokeBank, you have to migrate them to a Gen IV game via Pal Park (DPPt had a crappy mechanic that only allowed you to transfer from the same cart once per day). Then transfer from Gen IV to V. Then you have to put them in Box 1, put the cart in a 3DS, and transfer them with the PokeTransporter to the Poke Bank.
