The main new way is the PSS (Player Search System). It's in the game's interface and you can connect to the Internet and battle and trade with players who are online, both friends and strangers.

Also, are you sure that they don't? I fought a random person and my low level Pokemon were Lv. 50 so they were auto-levelled.

Also, I know the people who make these things deserve credit, but **** any and all credits in video games. I just beat the Elite 4, and the Champion, [BLACKOUT]and AZ[/BLACKOUT], and I just didn't want to sit through the entire (unskippable) roll call, so clearly I need to go back to right after defeating the champ and start over so I can continue playing.

I hate it the first time. Really hate it even though I know why they do it. After the 1st time, after the game saves when showing you the Hall of Fame, it's a relief that you can reset after that and skip the credits.

I also resetted the game and had to defeat the last person again. Really annoying.

Did the battle go smoothly? I'm worried about my internet thing. My actual Internet connection is stable but in Pokemon battles, it can be flimsy and there are disconnections. I don't really get it....

Only 50 or above auto-level DOWN to 50...its been confirmed... Lower than 50, they stay that level...
