Sometime midway through the game Pokeballs are almost useless...Great Balls are I think a waste of money...Once you get to Ultra Balls, those are the best bang for the pokebuck

Quick Balls are actually the best, they have a 4-5x catch rate on the first turn. If you can get Pokemon in the red and paralyzed or asleep, Pokeballs are fine.

If a battle takes too long, Timer Balls are great.
For Bug-type and Water-type Pokemon, Net Balls are best.
For capturing Pokemon in caves or at night, Dusk Balls.

Also, it would help if you activate Capturing Power before you encounter a Pokemon. That would make things even easier. Activate that power and then use Quick Ball on 1st turn.

good point, need to use quick balls and net balls

That power is so good that I caught the legendary Xerneas with a Poke Ball.

whats the best way to increase my level? just keep giving the o-powers to others? or using it on myself?

I like giving it to others but people rarely acknowledge it

Xerneas/Yveltal's catch-rate has been lowered to make it easier to catch since its capture (while still optional) is important to the story.

This was the same deal with Zekrom/Reshiram in BW (whose captures were mandatory).

Not sure but I just kept using it on myself. But, to be honest, even a Level 1 power can do the trick. I think you have to use a power about 10 times to increase the level, but don't quote me on that.

My brother started one of the many Facebook groups for XY. It's where I got most of my friends from. https://www.facebook.com/groups/157321037778534/

Ok this is really confusing...I dont even know how to register my pokemon global link, the site online has to place to register or sign up for a pokemon trainer account when i click on it.

OK, I think you need to have a trainer account first, and then go to the website you posted.

I sorted it out, thanks. The problem was that their servers were so busy I couldnt even get the page to operate on the web.

It took me a while to figure it through google searching, they dont make it easy

Caught a shining Woobat.

Four minutes later, a shiny Hawlucha appeared.

I've never had an non-hacked shiny, if we're not counting the Eevee I just evolved for my brother.

Great stuff, Wolf!

I'm breeding a few Pokemon competitively so after that, I hope to challenge some people again.

Damn, counting your Chespin you reset on, that's 3 in one game. The only shiny I've come across is when I used an Action Replay to give myself 999 Old Amber to get Aerodactyls to put onto Pokemon Ranch to get Mew. One of them was shiny.

im debating if i should do the trick to get shiny by using poke radar when i beat the game

I actually am going to use the shining Hawlucha (until I can breed a perfect IV regular Hawlucha...cause the shining Hawlucha is fugly)

Ooookay...so...shining Pansear now. Seriously.

And by the way, except for that Chespin, these have all been in the Safari Zone.

I'm only using it becuase I used the IV Calculator on neoseeker to see its IV's, and their all 25 or higher, with ATK and Speed being 31.

Remember...I still don't like shinies...Except Greninja...which I want.
